THere was a poster claiming to be a BBC employee who said they were taking seriously concerns about the way the BBC covered David Challenor's convictiones etc...

Sadly no comment since the thread:

why are people so sexist about men changing to a woman there still the same person inside just changed there look

BettyDuMonde · 11/09/2018 13:02

Datun

Juno Dawson not Juno Roche.

Obviously Juno is top of the ‘baby names lists -grown adult edition’ at present!

(Apologies, I autocorrected your name to ‘Datsun’ just yesterday - by the time I noticed the thread had moved on too far to interrupt with an apology!)

News to me and whoever wrote the response to my complaint. It's all to do with the greenparty's vote share apparently.

When an organisation refuses to send a representative to take part in a discussion, it goes ahead without them, and a statement like 'We did ask the ministry of Education to send a spokesperson, but no-one was available'. What's wrong with saying 'We did ask a representative of the trans community to debate with Dr Williams, but they dropped out at the last minute'. Hasn't Juno Dawson pulled this trick before, at Bradford Literary Festival, dropping out of giving a talk when demands about removing so-called 'bigoted speakers' from the festival weren't met?

Glad I didn't get the sad music. I'm quite a happy person. :-)

Annoys me that people won't debate with Nic. She is just too good for them and they know it.

arranfan · 13/09/2018 09:40

DebbieinBirmingham That sounds like a TV blessing, "May your intro music never be sad". :)

From your experience, do you have words of cheer and comfort for us on this or any of the contemporaneous related issues?

BettyDuMonde · 13/09/2018 09:57

arranfan - that’s going to be my phrase of the day!

(Also waves at Debbie* - congrats on today’s Times article - www.thetimes.co.uk/article/women-are-right-to-have-concerns-over-trans-reforms-5kj5k28sd?shareToken=aa090ad90f6f886db629247a0d6ca19b )
