How ironic! That's EXACTLY how women feel about women only spaces
I was just reading an article by Jane Fae written at the time of Tara Hudson's imprisonment and was struck by a similar sense of irony.
"But the guidelines go on: where there is no GRC, there are many factors to take into account. Identity. Steps taken. Risk to the prisoner. To other prisoners. All of which are meant to be addressed before the guilty party arrives at prison.
speaking of Tara, "In the general [male] prison population she is at immediate risk of assault, of rape"

So if we consider the four women who have been assaulted by a male, placed in female estate. Someone who has a 20 year offending history of violent sexual assaults against women and children. This could be re-written to centre them, the vulnerable female prisoners.
Except those speaking up for women in female estate are smeared by TELI and have little access to the media in comparison with Jane Fae.
Jane Fae (Independent Journalist) was a speaker at TELI's inaugural conference.
"Our inaugural conference last November launched TELI and took the form of a series of expert panels discussions on trans rights covering healthcare, justice and the impact of exclusionary provision, education and international protection. It was a very successful conference, enabling a forum for activists and lawyers to discuss how to progress the rights of the trans community."
