Why are Fawcett staying so silent???? Are they afraid?

I caught the comment about Sam Smethers being tight-lipped as others on the panel said they would be happy for transwomen to be half of AWS.... I do NOT understand why the brave Fawcett Society who have championed women for so long and so unfashionably are NOT speaking up...

I did start wondering if it is because they are worried they will lose the position they've acquired - go to organisation for politicos and media on women and inequality - if they are outspoken and gender critical.... whether they have decided this is a battle that might be lost and would therefore endanger their organisation

That said, surely if they did it in an even handed way, enabling women's voices to be heard??? Surely they could do something powerful

As you say it's fear of losing their position, funding maybe and generally not being invited to the party amongst the current woke politicians.

It's a tightrope I imagine because if they let women down and allow males to dominate they will lose female support and respect.

I'm so disappointed in Fawcett. I had Hugh high hopes of them given the careful wording of their trans statement. But someone just told me they support Gendered Intelligence

I'm not surprised about societies such as WEP or Fawcett. Especially not after a recent thread which revealed that people who volunteer for CAB dont get any training on domestic violence.
Its a much needed reminder that people who lead sheltered lives must feel all the claims around safeguarding sound a bit extreme.

I am more concerned when groups that are used to dealing with coercion and male violence cave.

I joined last year and I am massively disappointed, resigning next week when I get a moment I think. I did email them about the whole gender thing but they never replied.

They've gotaken money in tissue engineering and printing too. Theyou are creating a market for grow your own penis/vulva. If 10% of the country is trans the market for realistic organs made in culture or by printing would be huge. But you need the market that's the thing.

This is why they fight so underhand, so viciously and will throw under the bus women, intersex people, lesbians, gay men, kids. They do no care. To them, the prize is worth it. Truly sadistic.

There is literally no point in a society which assists women to share power with men, and then includes men. They are basically assisting men to power and are worse than useless. I fucking hate them.
