Fair Play for Women has exposed a scandal, an act of sabotage against women. Please read it for the details.

Straight women's voices have been screened out on the National LBGT survey. Penny Mordaunt is basing the consultation on the GRA on deliberate false information.

If you are not totally shocked then you should be. Ministers and others should resign over this. Dishonesty has no place in Law making.

The devil is in the detail.Angry

Well done FairPlay!! Smile

AFTER women and girls have been assaulted? Really? We are not your human shields. Why don't YOU take the risks? After all, afterwards the criminals can be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law. Which is fine, right?

womanformallyknownaswoman · 14/07/2018 04:50

And claiming a survey directed at a minority group is an impact assessment for the majority is well - economical with the truth at best and a gross failure of duty of care plus misleading Parliament at worse

YY - ffs - the wilful lack of comprehension of safeguarding and putting women and children in harms way is telling.

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 05:02

Y but your daughter's sexual assault help prevent a transperson having to get their birth certificate from Australia. Every cloud has a silver lining.

EeveePHD · 14/07/2018 05:17

You can all purposely twist my words as much as you want to suit your own narrative. My point being that streamlining the process isn't a bad thing which is what the GRA amendments are about. Not making it easier to assault women.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 14/07/2018 05:23

Streamlining safeguarding puts women and children in harms way - Chesterton's Fence - the Fence was there for a reason - unless one understands the reason for it being there, one shouldn't be dismantling it.

EeveePHD · 14/07/2018 05:31

So how would you all suggest I personally proceed? Leave my legal documents and passport non-updated in a name no longer in use? Be unable to leave the country at all, have my bank accounts in an old name with an "Mx" marker for the rest of my life?

Either there are only 39 lesbians in the uk, or only 39 who want to get the L out....... either way, that is quite illuminating of some of the propaganda that rears it's head on here.

According to FPFW only trans people were asked questions about the gender recognition process because of the survey logic, so most lesbians will not have been asked about this.

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 07:30

You can all purposely twist my words I didn't

so how would you all suggest I personally proceed

Why is it up to us to solve your problem?

Important thread discussing child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults, young people and children.

Identifies the systemic issues/ failures of frameworks intended to protect.

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 07:48

The massive entitlement there - doesn't even deny it will endanger women and girls - just 'how else can I get what I want'. And that voice is listened to while the endangered woman's voice isn't.

Maryzsnewaccount · 14/07/2018 07:48

Did you all notice the question phrasing about intersex?

"6. Do you identify as intersex?" (italics mine)

Since when was intersex something you could identify into/out of? I thought intersex was a medical diagnosis based on chromosal analysis/physical examination/whatever, not something that you could just decide you were Shock

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 07:48

Thanks Rowan

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 07:49

I think some men identify as intersex because they think their brain is female and that counts. I've seen people say that on Twitter. I've never seen a woman say it.

Maryzsnewaccount · 14/07/2018 07:57

Yes, I've seen that too Pratchet. I think it's appalling and I'm shocked at MN allowing it when posters do it here.

It would be like me showing up on an autistic support thread and announcing I'm autistic too because I occasionally.

I'd be shown the door pdq, and rightly so.

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 08:03

Well funny you should say that because autism seems often to be a co-morbidity. It's definitely been exploited as a TRA 'poor me' when there's been abuse and bullying. No names no pack drill but all the feminists know.

LadyLauraOver · 14/07/2018 08:39

I've been collecting data on attacks already occurring in countries where Self ID exists. I send it all to my MP and I know he has read it. Sadly there is plenty of evidence already in spite of constantly reading (twitter) "but this never happens".

Which is why streamlining it in a way that doesn't make it easier to assault women should be the aim. Right?

So a proper impact assessment and not willfully ignoring expert evidence that this would happen under self-id is essential.

That's Great Lady Would love a copy/reference - have you one?

Pratchet · 14/07/2018 08:52

Yes please also.

Still can't get over the entitlement of whoever it was. So inflated.

Wanderabout · 14/07/2018 08:59

It's not just safety from abuse of a self-Id system that is the issue.

It's also privacy and dignity. It's about the right for women and girls to say no to being naked in front of people with penises.

It's also fairness and the right for females to compete against females in sport.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 14/07/2018 09:00

Yep I know - it's outrageous - as though sex offenders aren't anything to worry about.

I found this if you're interested - stats about sex offenders

It seems to be sourced from different countries - I thought this was interesting:

1652 offenders - All convicted and for sexually abusing children.
 Biological parent 16%
 Stepparent 14%
 Other relative 16%
 Acquaintance/friend of parent 26%
 Person in authority or youth service worker/volunteer 22%
 Stranger 05%
 Other 01%
