RogerAllamsFangirl · 15/06/2018 17:11

I rarely post but will keep lurking and doing small acts of rebellion where I can

stealthsquirrelnutkin · 15/06/2018 17:16

I mostly lurk, and want to say that I'll be devastated if all the marvellous feminist women who have taught me so much get "disappeared" for committing truth crimes.
Can someone please send me a private message to let me know where banned posters are now meeting to continue the conversation?

thebewilderness · 15/06/2018 17:17

Still here, no further strikes.
I am in Washington state in the US, and sometimes use tehbewilderness as a clever disguise. Actually it was a typo once a long time ago.

Still only one strike. I wonder if they realized what a chilling effect this new rule would have on people after the first outburst of confusion and frustration.

BettyFloop · 15/06/2018 17:30

Still here - no strikes (mind you, I haven't posted anything).

Good to see you TBW Flowers

loveyouradvice · 15/06/2018 19:43

Thank goodness for wonderful women like all of you

Pratchet · 15/06/2018 19:51

So pleased to see you bewilderness. I literally came here just to check.

Pratchet · 15/06/2018 19:52

And Betty, and everyone. Must admit I was more worried because of b's number of deletes.

OP posts:
thebewilderness · 15/06/2018 19:53

I am not sure but I think @Ophelia is gone.

Pratchet · 15/06/2018 19:53

Rita basically MNHQ has introduced a 3 strikes policy where if you have 3 posts deleted for transphobia then you are suspended/banned.

Transphobic terms include: TIM, use of natal rather than preferred pronouns, TRA.

I think there is a thread in site stuff which articulates it fully, but it is very long.

The daily register has been introduced as a bit of a roll call to keep track of people, because although MNQ has said it will email people about deletions, so that they know if they are close to a ban, there are posters who are having content deleted but not being informed.

WineGummyBear · 15/06/2018 19:55

Lurking. As always, I appreciate those of you that do more.

Maryz · 15/06/2018 20:09

Have we been given a word to use for a male-bodied person who wants to transition to "live as a woman" that isn't transwoman yet?

As an aside I see that already we are being told that transwoman is no longer acceptable and it has to have a space [baffled].

In the absence of any guidance I've decided to use "male transperson" and "female transperson" in future. That can't be wrong, surely? Can it?

ToeToToe · 15/06/2018 20:10

Pleased and relieved to see lots of familiar names here Wine

I'm still here, and no strikes yet.

Keep posting everyone - the twitter TAs don't want us to - so we must. (And try our best not to get banned). The Twitter TAs know this is a powerful forum for raising awareness of women's rights being threatened by self ID. That's why they want us shut down.

Lurkers have been coming out of the woodwork today - it's great to see.

alexpolistigers · 15/06/2018 20:17

@Maryz person with XY chromosomes who wishes they were XX.

It's a bit cumbersome, but it avoids mention of male, female or trans.

EmilieDuChatelet · 15/06/2018 20:22

Present - I've been reading the FWR threads today. Horrified at the 'device' threat for WPUK's Hastings meeting. What a bloody awful state of affairs.

PurpleCrowbar · 15/06/2018 20:28

Still here!

flowersonthepiano · 15/06/2018 20:49

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 15/06/2018 21:23

Here

Firenight · 15/06/2018 21:25

I’m a shameless lurker in these threads but keep nodding along. Still here. Still grateful for the freedom of speech in this corner of the internet.

mancheeze · 15/06/2018 23:23

no strikes, that I know about!

Bloodmagic · 16/06/2018 04:59
