I simply disagree with her personal opinion, based on the experiences of those close to me within the LGBT movement (they are mostly L and a few G).

I was asked in what way I didn't agree with Kathleen, I explained. I know it's none of my business - I wouldn't otherwise have stated it - and as for "a wonderful ally to my lesbian friends"; the point I was making was ^I have no insight into this, but my lesbian and gay friends don't want the two separated, therefore I don't agree with people who do".
That quite categorically is being an ally to their opinions and the authority with which they hold them.
Christ, I thought that was clear enough. Not everything has to be a massive antagonism.
