Hi as all the threads are on one topic I have taken to reading threads from the beginning of this forum and the diversity in topics is really heartening and interesting to read does anyone else read them.

Yep, the answer to there not being enough of what you want to see is to start the ball rolling yourself and if others are interested they'll join in.

I'm not asking you to guess you have answered already and your not interested in this thread you have a lot of other ones with things you are. Maybe others might be interested you both seem very Keane to stop a thread you are not interested in I suspect if i start a thread you will do the same

You tried to chastise women for being focussed on the wrong thing. That never happens. Women as individuals flock one by one and identify by way of that gathering the right thing.

I think the problem is Bespin that a lot of people think that if the Self-Id part of the Gender Recognition Act is passed, we won't be able to discuss any of the topics in the old threads.

They will be labelled exclusionary or phobic.

I can understand your frustration but I can also understand that this huge hurdle is paramount at the moment.

I tried to ask other women of they read the original posts you don't that's ok maybe others do and we can talk about that is that ok with you? Like I said if no one else is either then it will quickly disappear

I've been on this board on and off for over 8 years.. yes, I've read old threads. As a rule though I'm here to participate, so I don't revisit stuff I've already read (unless I'm looking for something specific I remember). Plus it gets me all misty eyed for people who are once regulars and have moved on.

Much as I don't rewatch TV series, or re-read books (except for old favourites like ST:TNG or The West Wing, or Babylon 5)

I love West Wing and babylon 5 though that's definatly off topic on here and one for the TV fourm they really need to bring babylon 5 back.
I genuinely was not asking a question about what people wanted to talk about it was more a way to say other topics would be nice of they had a equal standing on this forum like when this started and there seem to have been a whole host of things people posted about. I have read them as I was not there at the beginning and I really liked the diversity of the topics and views. I did wonder if others did too. I totally believe that changes to the GRA néed to be discussed. What I do believe in is talking about every point to death.

Also I don't like being labeled and told that I'm baiting people. If this is what happens when people try to post something you don't like then I'm. Not suprised no one else does. This feels very much like back in the playground where the cool girls say 'WE' are doing this and so we all after do that and you can not cos your not in our gang. You don't have to participate on this thread just hide it.

I really think a way of separating this issue would be a good idea so that others can participate in other topics without feeling that they consently have to be dragged into this one

As best as I can tell, Bertrand, it's about how there's a topic Bespin doesn't want to read about and that means everyone else should stop talking about it so that Bespin doesn't have to see it when she clicks on the Feminism board. This is a totally fair and reasonable suggestion and it would not in any way be more logical for Bespin to just not click on threads about the topic she'd rather not read about.

Also we should all start threads about topics she is interested in, but she won't tell us what those are.

Hi yes I have hid quite a lot of the threads now so it's easyer to see and I got the app which makes stuff easyer. I'm on the Website on my phone and when you open th is fourm its just one thing and it's harder to pick out the other stuff that's all. It's the number of threads not there content I don't open a lot of them and now hide the ones that I'm not bothered about. I don't like starting threads as I find it hard to clearly explain my view sometimes and lay out a point of view. I'm better at replying to people. I am interested in topics that involve bringing younger woman into a understanding of feminist issues and impacts on them of social norms. Im a boat person so I've found the alternative life style threads on other forums so I'm happy now also the TV chat so I have other stuff to talk about
