A trans resource thread

I thought it would be really useful to have one thread solely dedicated to useful resources relating to the trans issue.

This issue is so overwhelming and almost on a daily basis I see women on mn saying 'I've never given this issue much thought but I just read x,y,z and am horrified' We need a thread to direct people to or to refer to ourselves which has the science and the main blogs and websites which have compiled info.

Apologies if there's already something like this. I haven't seen one.

I keep seeing on Twitter the statistic that 80% of transwomen don't have reassignment surgery because they want to retain their male genitals, but I can't find a source for it - does anyone know where that figure comes from, please?
