Labour Woman's officer thinks that trans woman are a larger percentage of the population than woman who have experienced sexual assault or rape.

I'm not a LP member and I'm not a constituent. Who do I complain to about this?

My MP's Tory and I've also emailed and hoping to meet up in Jan. busyboysmum You're right somebody further up in the Labour Party needs to be held accountable for this. Outside of twitter it's not winning them any votes!

They need to clarify their position over this

They have, they are taking disciplinary action against people/women who say that women cannot have penises.

SpartonDregs · 15/12/2017 22:41

Just so long as you know you're being trolled.

I'm not being trolled, he didnt say it to me. I know he is being puppeteered by the MRA.

women in the labour party seem to be falling over themselves to support this 19 yr old girl. It is beyond belief.

PrincePooPoo · 15/12/2017 23:46

Can someone tweet him to ask "Yes, of course transwomen are women, but they aren't the ONLY women. Do you plan on ever mentioning anything that affects those gross kinds with vaginas? Just you seem to be disproportionately representing transwomen. "

busyboysmum · 16/12/2017 00:11

The trouble for me is that I don't actually believe that trans women are women. I believe that they are trans identified males but I don't think they can ever become women. Even if they had the surgery I don't believe that they are women. It's like I'm an atheist and don't believe in God and nothing is ever going to change my mind about that either. And I have friends who do believe in God and absolutely respect their right to believe in God but I don't believe in their god. So for me I don't believe that religion should play any part in government and I also don't think that religion should go into schools. I would prefer to be like the French and keep religion and the state separate. So with this trans issue I don't think that trans identified males should be taking woman's places in jobs or in sports or being transferred to women's prisons. So I couldn't tweet anyone saying yes of course trans women are women because I don't believe it.

Can someone start a petition to get lily out by now please? I would try and make it as trans-friendly as possible and site her age and inexperience as reason for her short comings and inability to represent women

No, as a PP says above, I think we need to address our concerns to Labour. For me personally, the age/inexperience/being a twat isn't per se the dealbreaker - let's face it, there are loads of idiots holding voluntary roles in various branch meetings. If this was a 19yo girl who was a bit of an idiot I'd think "well, she's a bit of an idiot, but that's a matter for the CLP. Maybe she was all they could find."

The dealbreaker is that Lily is male. And that's a policy matter for the national Labour party.

SpartonDregs · 16/12/2017 10:49

he's not a girl.

I know. They don't seem to - which is the point.

They are not and never will be. The most they might be is men who have had medical treatment to present as women. They will/can never BE women.
