Facebook twatrery.

So I've been called

A TRA

A TERF

Transphobic

Homophobic

And

Dangerous

For saying that I as a heterosexual cis woman am sexually attracted to men.

Shock that seems to cover a lot of bases.

Anyone care to explain?

Or have they all been on the koolaid?

Thanks for those links - I'll watch them once I'm home. It was that Riley Dennis video that was being discussed.

I've seen male looking TW rant about being misgendered in shops, cafes etc - whilst going on about "that woman" "she" "He" without even realising they themselves make obvious assuptions about random strangers all the time without checking their gender and pronoun preferences.

Well yes. That's true, isn't it?

Constantly making assumptions about people's gender.

Although I suppose they could refute it on the basis that it's only misgendering if you know what someone's pronoun is and you refuse to use it.

On the other hand, as soon as enough people get wind of this, we can just constantly demand that people ask us what our pronouns are, and invent them on the spot.

Because that won't take very long to die a death...

This came to mind.

I don't get it? Are we back to it all being about appearances and what will the neighbours think?

bambambini · 12/07/2017 19:44

I think dome are just that deluded that them thinking they are a woman, makes it obvious to everone else or because they are immersed in transwotld - everyone else is too.

Datun · 12/07/2017 19:49

Actually, I was reading one of those scientific papers and it said that the desire to look female is so strong that merely putting on a tight skirt and a bit of lippy make them feel very alluring, despite being a six-foot four brickie.

It's part and parcel of AGP, I believe. They truly believe their own advertising.

Was just watching a video from Dr Sally Powis on TG and autism and how many autistic TG folk don't see themselves as looking "odd" - as others see them. Hard to explain but quite interesting.

If you are interested. A friend went to one of her talks and thought she was excellent.

Tsk! There you go, Datun, bringing science into it! What's that got to with how someone feels?

PacificDogwod · 12/07/2017 21:32

What.
The.
Fuck?!

Sorry, not feeling v eloquent.
