Ello.
So the WEP have announced 4 more GE candidates, and are up against.... no Conservative incumbents. They've also fielded a candidate against Kate Hoey (Lab) in Vauxhall, where the Lid Dems look like they could unseat her (big Brexiteer, huge 2015 majority, but in very pro-remain area)

I am quite pro the WEP standing candidates in general, as it might concentrate the minds of the other constituency candidates on women's issues. I imagine they have no real expectation of winning any of these seats. But I think this election might not be one to fuck about with, and this feels a bit, er, aimless? Am I being unfair? Does anyone know what they actually want to achieve from this?
(Incidentally, that inews article linked to in the tweet is all gender, gender, gender, apart from one Philip Davies, who mentions sex. God help us).
Will declare my interest - am ex-WEP member and new LD member and will vote LD. Also plan to propose less ludicrous "sex work" policy next LD conference.
