This blog post really spells out the problem with self-identity and the fact that some men WILL take advantage

She looks like my auntie Shock

My auntie does not look like a man

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 15/03/2017 12:58

Sounds like a massive overkill whether it was a woman, trans woman, trans man or man

Bundesliga · 15/03/2017 13:03

Yes, very odd. Why the fuck they so aggressive with her?

She refused to come out but she was using the toilet! Was there urgency to not let her finish? Confused

BonnieWeeJeannieMcCall · 15/03/2017 13:03

The North Carolina story didn't ring true, so I checked on Snopes which says that it is false.

Look at the other stories in the sidebar "Morgue employee cremated by mistake while taking a nap" etc. It's a fake news clickbait site.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 15/03/2017 13:05

Thank you bonnie

Bundesliga · 15/03/2017 13:06

Well thank fuck for that.

BonnieWeeJeannieMcCall · 15/03/2017 13:06

To be honest, it was the obviously bizarre other stories in the sidebar that made me check up.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 15/03/2017 13:08

I didnt look

I was too busy thing "why did noone tell me auntie rhona had been tasered"

Explains a lot about auntie rhona to be honest

RakingUpBadMemories · 15/03/2017 13:10

Ah. Sorry about that, I'm usually quite Snopes-aware!

Datun · 15/03/2017 13:10

Yeah it's fake. It really doesn't bloody help to have this nonsense online.

Do they not remember that there were always one or two boys in a year who absolutely would have found this an awesome thing to do, one or two in the school who would have had the arrogance to take it all the way, just for fun - because even now, 25 years later I can name the boys who would have done it.

A couple of boys in my year used to constantly try to get into the girls loos/changing rooms. Not really anything sinister (or I didn't think so) but just to take the pee and joke on and maybe get a glimpse of someones tits. They got detentions a fair bit for being caught on more than one occasion.

Now. DSDs school allowed a 'transgirl' into the girls loos/changing rooms. Nothing could be done as this boy wears a skirt and says he is a girl. I have mentioned this on here before. The boy had form for pretty pervy behaviour before 'transitioning'. A lot of the girls weren't impressed and started using the teachers areas to change and wee...were called transphobic and so on by the 'right on' girls. In short, it ended pretty badly. 'Transgirl' was found with photos of half naked teen girls on his phone (they weren't meant to have phones in school either..) and has since been expelled and is some other schools problem now. I expect though, wherever he has gone will allow the same thing to happen again. Noone has heard anything about him, which is odd as usually if something major happens its school gossip for a long time.

Anyway...the world has gone mad. The LAST place any of this shit should be coming in is schools. Obama has a bit of a brainfart when he made that law, for sure.

WankingMonkey · 15/03/2017 14:03

Sigh, another thread where "feminists" talk about unimportant things

The rights of females being stripped away is an unimportant thing?

BigDeskBob · 15/03/2017 14:17

Did you read and understand everything in my post, wanking?

Elendon · 15/03/2017 14:20

About a year ago I walked into the mans toilet accidentally. Used the cubicle (couldn't see any urinals). I was washing my hands when a man walked in (it was at a conference). I looked at him a bit funny and said hello? He pointed out, politely, I was in the man's toilet. The urinals were round a corner! It was very clean. I made my apologies and left. No one's feelings were hurt in this scenario.

Actually, my mum would probably say something if she saw a man in the women's toilets. She wouldn't hold back either. Her's is not a voice to be silenced. And being in her 90s she doesn't give a damn.

Pawpainting · 15/03/2017 14:25

I was in a toilet in Dublin airport last month. There were three cubicles, 2 occupied including me, with an empty one in the middle. The person in the other cubicle started talking on the phone and it quite obviously a man. I felt very uncomfortable, finished what I was doing and washed my hands super fast so that I wouldn't have to see them. I honestly don't know why I reacted like that? I didn't feel I could say anything even though I wanted to

MercyMyJewels · 15/03/2017 14:26

I nearly didn't get it either Bob. You are being far too subtle Grin

Datun · 15/03/2017 14:32

WankingMonkey

I'm really glad to hear that the transgirl has left. And that your daughter's radar was so finely tuned.

And it has served to show that transitioning does not suddenly change your sexual orientation, nor your perviness.

BigDeskBob · 15/03/2017 15:07

Mercy, I've never been called subtle before. And I've just reread my response to wanking and it sounds really arsey, sorry wanking. I think i should start using smilies Smile and Blush

Bundesliga · 15/03/2017 16:31

I was left confused by what you wrote, bob

The subtlety clearly did me in as well!

WankingMonkey · 15/03/2017 17:40

Apologies bob Blush I misread it and thought it was another 'omg transphobic bigots, noone cares if females are abused, they are just non-men' type post

EnormousTiger · 16/03/2017 22:13

Why did no one say anything? That's weird. I have accidentally gone into the gents before now over the years and always you have that conversation with someone -oops, wrong door and it's not a big issue. Surely here you just say - this is the ladies. then if he kicks up a fuss one of the women get it all recorded on their phone. We have an only women waiting room at our tube station which is rather nice and I have often kicked men out of there (!!) (and a mixed one)

Datun · 16/03/2017 22:41

Tiger

It's because people are worried they are actually talking to a transwoman who has every right to be there. Despite intuition to the contrary.

Personally I would call them out. Particularly after having digested all the information that I have.

Bundesliga · 17/03/2017 01:29

And don't forget, in the USA he may have a gun which definitely compounds the reluctance to ask someone behaving in an intentionally provocative manner.

Of course Grandma or the mother's may be carrying (weapons) too, but still, no one wants a shoot out in the toilets at Disney.

Unless Disney prohibits concealed carry - I've never been?

TitaniasCloset · 17/03/2017 01:57

I'm just place marking because I like the thread.
