It went viral and Danielle is on TV tomorrow because of it .

This is what Danielle looks like:

I predict puzzlement.

This is making me even more certain that Danielle is a social media experimenter.
I have seen it suggested (nb I don't know if this is true or not) that the first news site that reported this was a fake one and Danielle will have paid for the coverage and written it themself.
If so, the story was picked up and reproduced by other, genuine sites.
The thing is that news stories about things getting likes on Twitter are self-fulfilling because people will see the news report and like and retweet the post.
I find this by far the most plausible account of how this happened because there are plenty of similar anti Trump rants going on all the time.

Datun · 06/12/2016 13:22

Either way it won't look good tho. If she is genuine, a lot of people be asking questions. If she isn't, there are a lot of people who were taken in by it, so similar questions.

amispartacus · 06/12/2016 13:38

I do wonder how DM can look in the mirror in the morning and say 'I am a woman?".

Or to say 'I am treated as a transwoman by society and I know how it feels to be treated as a transwoman?".

I wonder what prejudice and discrimination DM does face out there in their daily life? It must be hard for them Hmm

IndominusRex · 06/12/2016 14:14

I just had someone gushing about these tweets to me in a meeting, I gritted my teeth. I think a lot of people are in for a shock.

amispartacus · 06/12/2016 14:25

I'm not entirely sure what the story is here. Person sends a load of angry tweets to Trump. Trump doesn't reply.

I bet a lot of people send a lot of angry tweets to politicians on a daily basis and they don't reply. What makes this a story?

stealtheatingtunnocks · 06/12/2016 14:43

That is a very good question.

ChocChocPorridge · 06/12/2016 16:52

Cote, you're going to need some kind of keyboard macro, you really do do sterling work (not being sarcastic. We all know that sometimes, broken record, factual responses are the only solution that keeps us sane)

Also need to add the one about humans being bipedal not reducing them to their legs, or prosribing that losing a leg stops you being human.

If only it wasn't educationally needed, you could use one of Betrand's key/value lists instead of typing it every time.

ChocChocPorridge · 06/12/2016 16:53

Isn't there some 15 year old in lithuania that was discovered to be the source of 80% of the fake Trump news stories on facebook?

It was definitely something along those lines, so Danielle paying someone for publicity is completely within the realms of possibility

Amalfimamma · 06/12/2016 16:54

Dave actually put up a status saying that he presented as a man because HRT was expensive and GRS was painful and not available to him free.

He got the ire of many a trans LOL

amispartacus · 06/12/2016 17:51

You can have some sympathy for the concerns of transwomen who are concerned about male violence, abuse, discrimination etc. They may not understand what it is like to be a woman but I am sure they understand many of the issues of being a transwomen - given they have experienced it.

I'm not sure how someone like DM can understand what it is like to be a transwoman?

ChocChocPorridge · 06/12/2016 17:53

Dave actually put up a status saying that he presented as a man because HRT was expensive

Is it? Or is it the convenient kind that's expensive? Pretty sure hormone pills are dirt cheap (having lived in a catholic country when younger that had me pay for my own contraception - less than a fiver a month at the time)

DeviTheGaelet · 06/12/2016 18:26

What pissed me off is the total lack of irony in Danielle saying it's too expensive to present as a woman and so Danielle chooses not to. Implying that women somehow have a financial privilege to be able to do that every day. When actually the amount of money society requires women to spend to be socially acceptable is clear evidence of patriarchal bullshit.
(See also India Willoughby) Angry cis privilege my arse

Amalfimamma · 06/12/2016 18:44

Reading back through davey boys tweets he seems to have had some problems with blm members they say he is appropriating their colour and can't u destando what it's like to be black.

So I conclude, dave wants to be a black Woman when in fact he is a white beardy baldy man

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 06/12/2016 18:51

I think re the cost issue, the thing is that he probably identifies as an attractive woman, not just an average one, and it is really expensive to get that kind of surgery and clothes.

(disclaimer: if he isn't on the wind up)

amispartacus · 06/12/2016 19:03

It must be hard for DM, being trapped in the wrong body, and everyone thinking that DM is a man. If only there was something they could do to show the world they are not a man?

Amalfimamma · 06/12/2016 19:06

Well seeing a he made his announcement in 2014 and this photo was taken in November 13 I honestly don't think he's trying very hard to be accepted as a woman. He can't even afford a wig

Anyone else getting the popcorn ready re Danielle Muscato's twitter rant at Trump?
stealtheatingtunnocks · 06/12/2016 19:07

I'd like a chat over cuppa with DM's mum.

Bet she's got a long story of exasperation and bemusement.

Actually, stuff tea. That women could probably do with a gin.

Come on Danielle, woman up! Growing your hair is free! That would at least be a nod in the right direction. Drop a couple of bucks on a razor, get yourself a drapey scarf and some earrings, and you're away!

Danielle is quite active in atheist circles. Sadly, this has led me to believe that Danielle is not on the wind up. Frighteningly sincere, or playing a really, really long and twisted game.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 06/12/2016 19:54

Drapey scarf - like a mumsnet scarf?

PoochSmooch · 06/12/2016 20:07

I have heard talk of such things, stealth - before my time though. Would it be feminine enough?

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 06/12/2016 22:16

I notice Danielle has nice manicure nails (well they look long)

If only Danielle would paint them a nice pretty pink no one would be confused then

Whichoneofyoudidthat · 07/12/2016 11:18

Amisparticus, I've seen at least one allegedly 'feminist' FB page post a story about it, referring to him as 'she' throughout. When a poster quite rightly pointed out that 'she' was in fact 'he'...well you know the rest. Biology vs Ideology, etc.

Whichoneofyoudidthat · 07/12/2016 11:21

He's quite spectacularly taking the piss, getting about in a man's suit and tie, with a full beard, but frankly, if he looked like Caitlyn Jenner he'd still be a man. So I'm kind of hesitant to point out his visual shortcomings, because even if he tried his hardest to look like a woman, it would make not a jot of difference.

deydododatdodontdeydo · 07/12/2016 13:36

DM must surely be some kind of elaborate sleeper troll who will expose TA for all its silliness?
As for his tweets getting attention because he's a man, I don't think that stacks up. Thousands if not millions of men tweet about Trump (far better tweets than these in many cases) without getting any kind of attention.
The tweets get attention because of DM's TW status and previous self-promoting activism.
