As a parent, this is how I see it: The idea that whether you are a girl or a boy is down to what you look like, or what interests you have, is sexism. I'm bringing my children up to believe in equality, that the only differences are that, put simply, boys have penises and girls have vaginas. That girls and boys can be, do, like, wear etc whatever they like, and it has no bearing on whether they are a boy or a girl.
And yet, organisations like Gendered Intelligence are paid by the government to write policy guidance and go into schools to teach young children the exact opposite - that biological sex is less important than gender (which is based on harmful stereotypes), and that things which are segregated by sex for good, obvious reasons, should be segregated by gender. That if you are a feminine boy or a masculine girl there is something wrong with you, and you should seek medical help.
