Sorry I can't link but it's on the BBC site.

OP posts:

It was part of the evidence given by the receptionist.

imwithspud · 13/10/2016 10:36

Folk on Twitter have started attacking Jessica Ennis now due to her comments made about CE last time round. Vile creatures.

PreemptiveSalvageEngineer · 13/10/2016 10:38

Watching with not a lot of hope here.

No matter the verdict, the fact that this even came to [re]trial is a travesty.

This, exactly Angry

I'm watching the live updates on Wales Online. I feel sick with worry that this will be a not guilty verdict Sad I have some hope due to the fact the jury do seem to be thinking about it

imwithspud · 13/10/2016 10:59

I feel sick too, I will be genuinely devastated if he gets found not guiltySad I've been obsessed with this case and I cannot see how he's not guilty.

imwithspud · 13/10/2016 11:07

I am clinging onto the hope that there may have been things said in court against CE that haven't been reported in the news yet and that that will be enough for a guilty verdict. Fingers crossed.

If nothing else, this thread is a good reminder to chuck a couple of quid in for Rape Crisis or a similar charity of your choice if you can afford to.

I would recommend just ignoring the trolls on twitter. reacting to them i what they want.

11122aa · 13/10/2016 11:57

is what they want.

11122aa · 13/10/2016 12:27

Defence barrister is giving her closing statement.

? The defence are still summing up!

LineyReborn · 13/10/2016 12:50

I think that's a reference to the jury asking to see CM's statement, a7.

They were refused it, I believe.

LowDudgeon · 13/10/2016 12:50

I think that refers to them asking to see CM's testimony from last time?

11122aa · 13/10/2016 12:51

I think the poster referred to the fact the jury have asked some questions to the judge throughout the case.

imwithspud · 13/10/2016 12:53

Scary to think that a verdict could be in as soon as today. I really hope the jury don't fall for those so called 'witness statements' I still can't get over the ridiculousness of it all.

Yes, that's what I was referring to, thanks all Smile

11122aa · 13/10/2016 13:11

Unlikely a verdict today. Case as been adjourned till 2pm and judge still needs to do her summing up. Might not even retire the jury today or if they do just to get a foreperson.

Spookybitch · 13/10/2016 13:12

From the defence: “The defendant performed that act [oral] on her - an act that is all about giving pleasure.”

Ms Khan could do with actually speaking to a few sexual assault victims.

WomanWithAltitude · 13/10/2016 13:22

Yep.

Also, there isn't actually any concrete evidence (other than his word) that he even did it.

imwithspud · 13/10/2016 13:29

Spooky that part made me feel physically sick. Lots of women don't enjoy oral sex so that's a stupid statement to make, not to mention in cases of rape/assault then of course it's not going to be an enjoyable experience for the victim. I don't like this judge, the CE supporters seem to love her though, wonder whyHmm

cadnowyllt · 13/10/2016 13:34

The Judge ?

WomanWithAltitude · 13/10/2016 13:38

The judge didn't say that!

LineyReborn · 13/10/2016 13:39

Did you mean the defence barrister, or the judge for allowing it?

WomanWithAltitude · 13/10/2016 13:42

There isn't anything in that statement that a judge could stop them saying AFAIK

imwithspud · 13/10/2016 13:43

Sorry yes, I meant the judge for allowing it. Got a bit carried away thereBlush
