Well, my opinion on moles is coloured by guilt. A couple of months back one of my dogs managed to catch one (no idea how) and was torturing it to death. When I managed to take it from her, it was in a bad way and I had to smack it with a shovel and put it out of its misery. those little paws haunt me still! Ack! I am the Death of Moles.

However, they can turn on you. One of my neighbours lost a finger to a mole, he put down an exploding trap (they're legal here, I'm not in the UK) and the little blighters managed to make it back up, so when he fished it out of the ground it exploded in his hand and blew a finger off.

No idea about weasels, but I had a game of ferret roulette last summer and they had a vicious aspect right enough.

We play ferret roulette at our local farm park, they have animal toys on each pipe and the children choose their animal. You can win a fridge magnet or a pencil. It's very exciting. Almost as exciting as the sheep racing.
