No, I asked in my local newsagent to make the point, but I bought them on eBay.

"The France v Germany game was riveting from start to finish" - absolutely! Though I was gutted for the French, I thought they played brilliantly in places (mind you, their finishing let them down - there were quite a few occasions when French players lost their marker and had free headers/shots on goal in the box and failed to score - if I was the USA, I'd be making very careful notes on the video footage, because I think the German defence is about as watertight as a sieve).

Seriously thinking of staying up late for the semi! I saw Japan play Brazil at the Olympics in Cardiff and they were great (took DS - we had a great day out, what a sense of occasion).

Definitely watching it. I'm really excited!

I'm thinking of staying up late for the semi too. I've been watching the other matches on catch up so that DD can watch them with me, but I've usually found out the score before we sit down to watch. I want to find out the score to this one in "real time"!

The better team won last night. Now for an England USA final, only the small matter of beating the reigning world champions tonight left...

I'm going to set my alarm to watch tonight just in case I fall asleep. The first England World Cup semi final since 1990 and I don't want to miss it.

Because the feminism board draws a bigger and better crowd than the sports one.

Neither was that. But I'll take that for a Fara Williams goal.

We've got off lightly there, Japan's probably was a pen but ours definitely wasn't, great penalty though.

Japan can pass it around but their final ball is poor.

We've had the best of this first half I reckon.

Interesting. Their 'penalty' wasn't one as the foul was outside the box, and Steph H. was fouled. though she didn't need a 2nd invitation to go to ground
