This might have been covered here already, but in the wake of UN worker in CAR being linked to child abuse, here is an atrocious article about humanitarians' "need" for sex.

By humanitarians, they of course mean male humanitarians and by sex, they include organising a staff trip to a brothel.

I presume mercury's first sentence was, clumsily, making the point that as there are women who are only managing to feed themselves and their families by effectively getting money for being raped (ie the girlfriends) then it doesn't help them if you remove this avenue for survival from them without having something else in place. Which is true.

Lost me with the rest, mind. For pretty much every reason listed in every post after that.

Watch the film Whistleblower op, it was on netflix and still is I think. Based on a true story, I think the response to what the main character in the film attempted to do is petrifying.

I second this film, the woman uncovered a huge organised flesh trade ring, not for the faint hearted though.
