How do we square these two apparently feminist debates?

Can "choice" really be the distinction that unites these causes? There is a strong case that models making a living have a choice (not just page 3 or porn but also "art" photography).

I'm confused. Help.

Are you disgusted by BF, DTF? Since you seem to think Buffy's comment was aimed at you?

Dotheyfloat · 03/04/2015 10:50

BF? Bodily fluids? Baby Faces? Big fannies? Butt-f?

Please explain; I prefer English over MumsSpeak.

ChopperGordino · 03/04/2015 10:50

Did you have a point dotheyfloat? It's hard to tell through the sneering.

YonicScrewdriver · 03/04/2015 10:55

Perfectly clear from the context, dear.

I have no problems with Page 3. I also have no problems with public breastfeeding or women who go topless at the beach.

Prudism belongs in the Victorian era.

ChopperGordino · 03/04/2015 11:45

It's nothing to do with making money or prudery

Your question hasn't been answered on this thread because that's not what the thread is about

scallopsrgreat · 03/04/2015 11:46

The problem is not whether they make money from going topless huyezod (my autocorrect tried to change your NN to huge sod, which amused me in a childish, I've hardly had any sleep way). That's why no one has answered the question.

scallopsrgreat · 03/04/2015 11:48

X-posts! Great minds and all!

PuffinsAreFictitious · 03/04/2015 11:51

Interesting isn't it, how women discussing breasts brings out all this anger in men?

Huyezod... shouldn't you be telling people about your 15 yr old son buying sexual consent from women as well, you seem mighty proud of it on another thread.

Oh well, unlucky then.

ChopperGordino · 03/04/2015 12:01

You are misapplying where the "wrongness" lies - it isn't with the women. Careful now, your agenda is showing.

scallopsrgreat · 03/04/2015 12:15

Your 15 yr old son buys consent off women?

I feel a bit sick. You don't like women much do you?

BoobooChild · 04/04/2015 11:29

And also, it's curious how threads about women's bodily autonomy brings out the malevolence in some, isn't it? The need to mock. What's up with that I wonder...

I was wondering about that too Buffy.

violetwellies · 04/04/2015 18:45

Ok, can't give citations, but all can be found in the 'Politics of Breastfeeding'.
Finding breasts, full or otherwise erogenous, or sexual is not universal. It's cultural not biological. So basically (as if you didn't know) EoR is talking bollox.

scallopsrgreat · 04/04/2015 19:21

Yep it is in the Politics of Breastfeeding. A well researched book that looks beyond a while, heterosexual, male view of the world.

scallopsrgreat · 04/04/2015 19:22

*white obviously!

TeiTetua · 05/04/2015 16:38

I remember reading about an interview with an African woman somewhere (can't remember the context) where you said "You mean white men are obsessed with women's breasts? Then those men must never have stopped being babies!" And she collapsed into laughter.

Definitely cultural.

TeiTetua · 05/04/2015 17:00

I said "you said" but meant "she said".

Amethyst24 · 05/04/2015 20:03

TeiTetua - yes, and the way people say about babies, "Oh, he's obsessed with the boob, typical boy!" is really grim IMO.
