What are the most prominent schools of thought within feminism?

Chicks before dicks.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 25/03/2015 16:16

What do you think are the most prominent schools of thought within feminism?

grimbletart · 25/03/2015 16:19

will - haven't you got the message yet? This forum is for debate not for would-be headmasters to ask feminists to put their heads up in class to please teacher and answer questions that Dr Google could oblige you with.

If you bother to look at the threads you will see that OPs may ask what others think but offer their views at the same time. I left school many decades ago and don't particularly feel I need to be sitting in the back row against doing my maths homework under the desk.

Doing one's own research tends to be quite popular.

Also, dense texts, reading of.

scallopsrgreat · 25/03/2015 17:07

Radishes definitely!

YonicScrewdriver · 25/03/2015 17:31

I bloody love radishes.

Down with celery, though!

Grin
JeanneDeMontbaston · 25/03/2015 19:13

I love you lot.

Or I would, except, in the words of another feminist today, sisterhood is exclusionary.

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 25/03/2015 19:14

Not expecting women to provide free labour

OublietteBravo · 25/03/2015 19:15

Noooo Yonic - I love celery and hate radish Grin

JeanneDeMontbaston · 25/03/2015 19:16

Celerys have roots too, oubliette. Don't discriminate.

OublietteBravo · 25/03/2015 19:23

You mean I can't be a feminist if I don't like radishes - who knew?!

off to re-evaluate my life

CollatalieSisters · 25/03/2015 19:23

I'm also quite new here op, so I sympathize with your question. In my view, there is sensible feminism, with which I agree, and silly feminism, with which I do not. Sometimes sensible feminists can be quite silly. But I do agree with this. I don't know if the silly feminists are sometimes sensible, but if so then I would agree with that too. I am pro-celery, other than in powdered form. I find radish problematic.

JeanneDeMontbaston · 25/03/2015 19:25

Wouldn't 'Radish Problematic' make a great name for a band?

OublietteBravo · 25/03/2015 19:27

Jeanne Grin - I hope they call their first album sensible feminism.

YonicScrewdriver · 25/03/2015 19:27

Powdered celery?

What fuckery is that?!?!
