My first post in this section, but I thought this was the right place.

I've just read this, I know it's only buzzfeed but I'm Shock Hmm

Well, maybe a little bit funny.

But scary, uncomfortable funny.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 15/01/2015 12:31

It is all so very hateful, isn't it?

MonstrousRatbag · 15/01/2015 12:36

He does not deserve the attention he is getting. The manifesto is illogical, extremist and intellectually dishonest. Bingo! Lots of media, because TV in particular thrives on the extremes, and on controversy. When actually, what he says only serves to hamper real debate and understanding and is a bizarre position held by a very small minority.

slug · 15/01/2015 12:38

The poor little boy. Obviously those evil female teachers who always give boys lower marks ignored him so much they forgot to tell him about proper nouns. It's obvious he does not realise names need capital letters.

OhFrabjousDay · 15/01/2015 13:20

Wtf is that book cover?! He really really hates women doesn't he? Has it been self-published? I can't imagine anyone who wanted to be taken seriously agreeing to that picture being used.

Ha, nothing says heavy-hitting publishing outfit like a hotmail email address.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 15/01/2015 15:08

That lps publishing site is a treat.

"Feminism: The Ugly Truth seeks to answer over 50 of the most challenging questions of the modern era, as reflected in a random selection of 10 chapter titles:

<span class="italic">Are you a misogynist if you only hate feminists?</span>
<span class="italic">How do feminists shorten the lives of many men and women?</span>
<span class="italic">Are feminists less intelligent than normal women?</span>
<span class="italic">Are feminists less attractive than normal women?</span>
 <span class="italic">Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the arts?</span>
 <span class="italic">Were the suffragettes silly?</span>
<span class="italic">Do feminists suffer from PPS (Permanent Premenstrual Syndrome)?</span>
<span class="italic">All women have a right to complain, but do feminists abuse the privilege?</span>
<span class="italic">Feminist theory: have the ladies been building castles in the air?</span>
<span class="italic">Are feminists delusional? Is the pope a Catholic? Do bears crap in woods?"</span>

"Ladies" what do we think? Those silly little suffragettes! Is Tracy Emin an artist or a killer? Are we ugly, unintelligent and premenstrual? YOU decide!

Sorry, it's obviously a highly academic and intelligent piece of writing going by the above synopsis. Maybe it just all goes above my pretty little head? Or my scary vampirish head? Grin

ShumbTucker · 15/01/2015 15:35

"All women have a right to complain, but do feminists abuse the privilege? "

I don't use this often but ROFL. If the thinks that is privilege no wonder his ideas are a little 'erm "off kilter"

ApocalypseThen · 16/01/2015 09:36

I know his personal appearance has nothing to do with it, but it gives me the creeps. He has that weird grooming that those US telly evangelists (and Jeffrey Dahlmer) have.

LadyBlaBlah · 16/01/2015 13:36

I must admit, I do hate men like him.

scallopsrgreat · 16/01/2015 13:52

I was pleasantly surprised to read some of the comments: "Oh no! A woman might actually be considered my equal! Help, help! I'm being oppressed!" made me giggle (in a girly vacuous way, obviously).

Buchanan is a stalker btw. He stalked glosswitch for months and months.

ApocalypseThen · 16/01/2015 15:13

Yeah. I'm not surprised. He has the very cut of it.

MagicMojito · 17/01/2015 00:07

The guys an absolute tool. Its scary to think there are people out there with these bizarre veiws in 2015.

HelenaDove · 17/01/2015 00:29

I just watched the This Morning clip. Its scary stuff. Unfortunately hes not the only one out there with this attitude.

Id love to hear the ex wives" side of things.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 17/01/2015 08:20

He does look a bit UKIP doesn't he?

grimbletart · 17/01/2015 13:48

Nice tongue-in-cheek comment piece in the Telegraph today about Mike Buchanan. Illustrates the absurdity of his position very well.

Warning: unfortunately it carries a picture of him…..

Amethyst24 · 17/01/2015 13:54

I'd not seen the phrase before, so "pain in the arts" made me smile. Am easily pleased.

ApocalypseThen · 17/01/2015 14:05

Poor old Mike. Will he ever find the right robot sexbot slave?

HelenaDove · 17/01/2015 15:55

Not surprised to learn he is/was a Tory.

alsmutko · 18/01/2015 10:52

Some choice comments btl here.

alsmutko · 18/01/2015 10:56

This was satire. I'm presuming he's not. Maybe he wants to set up his own little Stepford. Not that he has haduch success in persuading a wife to be a bit more Stepford. No doubt that's our fault as feminists.

bigkidsdidit · 18/01/2015 14:19

The comments on both the telegraph and guardian articles are frightening, though
