Smashbox, I have posted in other threads on FWR that I have studied psychology for a long, long time, so I hope that you don't mind my take on the situation, which might give you some insight as to why you feel the way you do, and why your boyfriend's reaction has touched you so deeply.
It is likely that you are so, so angry about this site because it has (rightly) touched a deeply held value that you have, that women are important, and of intrinsic value in themselves. They warrant a name, a position, a description, a life, a human-ness beyond the usual ones sanctioned by our male dominated society. That your boyfriend has found this website funny shows that his values are deeply at odds with your own - he is very comfortable with the male dominated way the world is, and he sanctions it himself by supporting the very sexist beliefs that offend you. If I were you, I would examine your beliefs about how you value women, compared to how he values women, as in the long term, these two differing values are likely to be at odds with each other.
