Are they being ironic?

OP posts:
FloraFox · 18/10/2013 19:16

bale cross-post

"The above referred to flora wanting to enjoy a calendar. The minority of weirdos are people that enjoy calendars"

What the fuck are you talking about? That makes even less sense.

Scallops - you think this down to images of women?

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:22

Flora - your perception of the calendar:

This calendar was made to be sold and make money. It was made to be bought and enjoyed.

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:25

Buffy - I agree with you about 'normal'. If society expects it, what are your perceptions of more exposed body and what impact does that have on everyone?

bale you're really pushing the envelope on this perception thing now. Are you seriously saying the calendar was not made to be sold and make money or bought and enjoyed? Talk about not living in reality!

And your statement still makes no sense. Why would you ask if I enjoy filling out a calendar or say I am a weirdo?

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:31

I'm not too sure on fashion. Maybe in the 60's their was a movement away from religious fashion. Styles changed. I'm not sure if it is expected. It's the norm but not compulsory.

Maybe the body is viewed wrong and it is missing the point. I don't know

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:32

Flora - enjoyed?? Explain what you mean?

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 18/10/2013 19:33

bale, this is a bit of a personal question - but are you drunk?

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:37

Sab - no. Sorry I should have labelled my reply. Or pasted in parts of the post I was replying to, to make it clearer. It does read as pithe unrelated sentences

Flora
............Do you enjoy filling out a calendar?............

That's what you asked flora just a few minutes ago. Then you say 'enjoyed? what do you mean?' You asked her the question.

FloraFox · 18/10/2013 19:46

bale if you don't know the meanings of the words you used, can I suggest:

www.oed.com

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:47

Sab - below is what flora wrote about the calendar:

This calendar was made to be sold and make money. It was made to be bought and enjoyed.

And:

Are you seriously saying the calendar was not made to be sold and make money or bought and enjoyed?

It's all on the thread, put down the whiskey

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 18/10/2013 19:50

Oh dear baley! Keep digging....

Your posts are utterly incoherent.

FloraFox · 18/10/2013 19:51

What the fuck are you on about, bale?

Do you not know the meaning of the word "enjoy"?

How does that lead you to ask if I enjoy filling out a calendar or say I am a weirdo?

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:52

Flora - cheers which definition are you using in this context. If it is as I interpret, I don't no anyone that enjoys using a calendar. I'm sure there are a handful of people that do.

Buffy is the most enthused about calendars I have ever heard. She looks forward to it and enjoys the comfort of feeling organised. But I don't know if she would say she enjoys it...

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:54

Sab - lol

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 19:56

Flora - what are they enjoying about the calendar, in your opinion?

Sab - to help you out (I'm being kind).

This phrase, below, was posted by flora before I asked if she enjoyed using calendars:

This calendar was made to be sold and make money. It was made to be bought and enjoyed.

If you need more explanation please ask someone

scallopsrgreat · 18/10/2013 20:05

Scallops - you think this down to images of women? I have no idea what this question means in relation to what I posted (or even what it means full stop). I have explained what I think it is about.

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 20:07

Flora - if you don't want to explain what you mean by 'enjoying a calendar' then that's up to you. I don't think you want to explain because you know your perception of why they were made and why they are bought and what they are used for, sounds a bit ridiculous. I don't think you want to commit it to text.

That's the problem if you are so fixated on the theory it dictates your responses. Your perceptions should lead you to the theory. Not the theory leading you to your perceptions and responses.

Yougotbale · 18/10/2013 20:12

Scallop - sorry if you explained what you thought it was. I got the impression you the things you wrote about like miss universe, were down to images feeding a machine. You only spoke about images. So I wondered what else you thought was feeding the machine. And what is the worst and most damaging food the machine eats.

FloraFox · 18/10/2013 20:21

bale you seem to have concocted some idea of what you think I meant. Why don't you tell me what ridiculous thing you think I meant and I will tell you if you are right? Your question and approach is bizarre and makes you look a bit foil-hat to be honest.
