I woke up this morning and I was still a feminist.
Can't believe I wasn't turned by all the persuasive and intellectual posts from the 'newcomers' last night....

Do you think any of them has the wit to realise that by threatening to bring down a site that offers so much support to women, they were actually reinforcing the stereotypes of men that they think are so prevalent here? Probably not.

Still - we have survived the night, which is a relief to me!

I think they have been blaming the victim in a high-profile rape case in America, where a girl was gang raped by a bunch of college football stars. Apparently the whole thing has ruined their futures, and anyway, the girl was drunk. Sickening.

They ran a piece about how terribly sad it was that the futures of these promising young lads had been ruined by a drunk girl complaining about being raped, basically.

They do seem to have caused pretty widespread outrage by doing it, though, which is at least good.

I have zero sympathy for them - what they did was beyond wrong, and they deserve everything they are getting, and more.
