The boob song was pre-recorded. The women in the cutaway shots are not dressed as they were last night. And they are "acting" unimpressed.

Being pre-recorded doesn't alter the fact that it's sexist and an attempt to diminish Hollywood women's talents by focusing on their 'boobs'.

So of all women mentioned, only three decided to be 'in' on the joke?

I'm pretty sure Quvenzhané and her family weren't in on her being treated like a sex object. I'm sure her mother didn't expect her 9 year old child and her sister to have to sit through that.

Are you disputing the fact that they are clearly wearing different outfits? I'm sure they were ok with it.

Personally I agree it's tasteless but there's no need to be outraged on their behalf - I think women in Hollywood are fully on board with the inherent sexism.

The joke about the little girl was a separate item. And I agree it was immensely inappropriate.

They were in on the joke, if they had a problem with anyone noticing their boobs I doubt they'd be showing them bare on film to millions of people they've never met. The song was funny, it was a piss take, people are so desperate to get offended at the mildest things, often on behalf of people who aren't remotely offended.

It was a separate event, but overall showing the sexism and racism with an Academy that backed it all and is known to be 96% white and 77% male.

PuffPants is right. It was a pre-recorded segment with the actresses in on the 'joke'. My problem is with Macfarlane's permit to make misogynous and racist jokes under the umbrella of irony.

It's impossible to achieve ironic racism and misogyny when both are clearly in existence.
