Nag harder, Turnip... Wink

Trying to think of a witty slogan for a badge.

I don't, unfortunately, do witty... :(

TheWomanFormerlyKnownAsSGM · 22/05/2012 20:19

I've been collating them. i have a list on my phone.

I'm getting one called Doom Kittens of Cognitive Dissonance because it's genius.

I might just collect every insult thrown at me, and stick that on a badge. It'll be a big badge though. And I think I'm running out of characters in my username...

TunipTheVegemal · 22/05/2012 20:44

Grin TSC

LRDtheFeministDragon · 22/05/2012 20:57

Yay! My Kittens! SGM, they are honoured. Smile

I want one with the RadFemNuthouseCollective, though, please?

I like to imagine us all sitting there, weaving baskets against the patriarchy.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 22/05/2012 21:07

Oh I missed these first time round, they're great! Please get the badge machine out again if you still have it. How big are they?

TheWomanFormerlyKnownAsSGM · 22/05/2012 21:13

I've just PMed SGB:)

scottishmummy · 22/05/2012 21:16

millwall, the violent who are ya football fighters?

solidgoldbrass · 22/05/2012 21:37

Hi all...
I still have my lovely badgemaker and have been looking for an excuse to buy a new set of components anyway. Will have to wait till the start of next week to order them but they don't take long to arrive so badges should be available within about ten days.
HOwever, I have some MN-specific ones left: at the moment there is one Resist Do Not Comply, two Raising The Revolution, two The Hand That Rocks The Cradle Can Change The World, four Mumsnet Feminists Consciousness-raising 2.0

aaaaaand seven Patriarchy YABVU.

I think there might also be one or two left in another crate of 'Crushing The Patriarchy ONe Nut At A Time' and 'Feminists Have Better Sex' as well.

Oh, and I can do fridge magnets and keyrings too. And my latest thing is t-shirt slogans - I have really fabulous special iron-on paper, I print out the slogan, the buyer chooses his/her own t-shirt (or cotton bag or pants for all I care) and irons it on...

PM me and let me know what you want. THe most demanding of my part time jobs is about to go quiet for a bit as we are about to soft-launch the site wheeeeeee!!! so I will be able to get on with a bit of clicking and fiddling.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 22/05/2012 21:39

I do like 'Feminists Have Better Sex'. Smile

Bags will take a little time as I will need to order some plain ones and experiment with them, but it should be doable. I will make a couple and put them up on my profile, maybe next week Grin

Huzzah!

fridakahlo · 23/05/2012 03:35

Could I perhaps suggest:
"Cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!"

And

"From Kensington to Billingsgate
One hears the restless cries!
From ev'ry corner of the land:
"Womankind, arise!"

As a couple of possible slogans if new ones were being sought?

Takver · 23/05/2012 08:27

Just a slight warning on the t-shirts, I had some I loved that were part of a 'reskilling the world' run that a friend did with that iron on paper and they really don't last very well. ("How to calm and diffuse violent situations" might have been quite useful when posting on MN at times Grin) I think if I'd hand washed them it might have been much better than chucking them in the machine

solidgoldbrass · 23/05/2012 10:52

I tend to machine wash mine and DS's and they are so far doing OK. SLightly better, if anything, than the Dr Who pjs I bought him from Sainsburys a couple of years ago. But even proper print-shop printed fabrics don't last forever...

FrothyTheCrazyFeminazi · 23/05/2012 11:14

If it works, I'd really appreciate a bag with a Carter quote on, please. Wink
