Accordig to white stuff, hitting women is fine, just make sure you don't hit the cute woodland creatures....

and the more women you hit, the more money you make...

at Oliver.

Hermione, didn't anyone ever teach you any manners? It is neither feminine nor becoming of a lady to refer to people as "Sykes" or "dykes" or to say they deserve to be put to the axe.

Tighten your corsets, and, while you're at it, grow the fuck up and stop throwing around homophobic terms - one day you might learn to spell them, and then you'll really be in trouble when everyone realises what a poisonous little pest you are being.

Care to provide a list of who the man-hating Sykes are?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 09/12/2010 11:41

Not sure Melanie is a man-hater though, BTP. Hold the excutioner til Herm comes back with her no-doubt extensive files.

walkinginaWUKTERwonderland · 09/12/2010 12:01

It's weird how not people who don't want women to get hit by axes, even in jest, are stereotyped as manhaters. Nobody even mentioned men!
But then, stereotypes are insidious things. Foe example I always associate the name Hermione with intelligence - it must be the Harry Potter effect seeing as how I don't know any in RL.

stray not

Hermione1975 · 09/12/2010 13:11

Haha... so just how did most of you find out that on level 3 you get to take a swipe at the Prince?

Presumably you are so against this white stuff game that you simply had to keep playing it? :)

sethstarkaddersmum · 09/12/2010 13:32

I was informed of the fact in my letter from the Assistant Online Marketing Assistant or whatever her job title was, Hermione. Smile

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 09/12/2010 13:34

yeah I played it - love bashing small cute animals about the head, me.

Presumably if I hadn't played it, you'd have been advising me to "play it, how can you not like something when you haven't even tried it".

walkinginaWUKTERwonderland · 09/12/2010 13:34

haha

Hermione1975 - I see that this thread is your first time posting under this name on Mumsnet.Wink

Either you've namechanged specifically for this thread? If so, why - there is no problem surely with expressing your views under your original name.

Have you read the thread properly? There are people who disagree with my view!

Or, alternatively you have registered specifically to post on this thread.

So, perhaps you are somehow connected with the White Stuff?

Interesting that you call it "fairytale fun" - especially as my reply from the White Stuff was keen to stress the link with fairytales and the fact that the game is "fun". Shock

How am I giving "Mums" a bad name? I don't speak for all Mums!

As for "do not promote femininity" - WTF are you on about. Have you got confused - I posted in the feminism section - we ain't here to promote femininity!

How dare you come on here and refer to MNers as a group as "man hating dykes". Angry

You are using homophobic language not to mention a very juvenile attack on feminists.

For the record, I have not played the game. But it is possible to play then game, enjoy it yet still be concerned about how appropriate it is as a marketing tool for White Stuff and still have an opinion as to how it fits into the general casual sexism that pervades our world.

suspects above concept maybe beyond herminone1975
