I've got to see the Dr in 1 hour to have my vagina inspected

Dreading it. So embarrassed. I've asked for a female Dr. I know they've seen it all before and worse and the Dr has one herself. It's the indignity of it all.
I just want to cry.
I have to go today. There is no choice.

I once had a nurse comment 'gosh, thats a pretty and tight one'. Not really appropriate at all!

I was on yearly smears due to previous issues and I just tell myself they've seen it all before hundreds of times. My recent colposcopy was done by a male consultant, he was lovely though, I nearly hugged him when he gave me the all clear.

I’ve had internal vaginal scans as part of a ten year ovarian cancer screening trial. I got the short straw, some women had blood tests, others external scans of their ovaries, others had abdomens palpated and the last study group were just on record as being part of the trial.
My left ovary would hide, every time. The other women were in and out within ten minutes or so. Not me, the nurse doing the scan would be trying coax my shy ovary out from its hiding place, a loop of bowel. “Can you shuffle down the bed, no that’s not working , try laying on your right side, oops, it’s gone again.”
In the meantime, Im laid there with my legs akimbo while nurse ferrets around with this wand scanner type thing and in walks a male doctor and takes over..the bloody ovary obviously likes men, it popped out, bold as brass. Ten years I was part of that trial. I got a lovely letter at the end, thanking me and my ovaries for taking part and would
I consider being part of another trial.
