Small 0.5mm lump under areola

I have been referred to the breast clinic on Thursday 1st April after I found a small hard lump next to nipple under areola which is not painful so that worries me.

I am 37 and not pregnant or feeding. My son is 8.

Two separate drs felt it and both said it was mobile (does not feel mobile to me) and not sinister and gave me option to wait a few weeks see if it goes or be referred. I asked to be referred as I found it after my period.

I had an ultrasound on the very same breast last August for a separate bit of tissue higher up on breast so hoping it is something very new and recent even if it’s bad.

I’m beyond worried and throwing up daily with fear. My husbands auntie died of secondary breast cancer last week so it’s been tough.

Any hand holders?

My paragraphs didn't work. Sorry @emmajayn3 the first one was meant for you. You've mentioned prayer and a Christian funeral service - do you have a strong faith? I think if you do, it really helps.

I hope we all have a lovely weekend!

@Fnib I do have a strong faith and I am a practising Christian and it did help for sure but also made me doubt which was hard

@emmajayn3 Thank you. The radiotherapy is just a precautionary measure to reduce the risk of a recurrence. I am also taking Tamoxifen for the same reason. So I am clear of cancer and will hopefully stay that way. I have been very lucky.

Understandable, @emmajayn3 I'm not a practising Christian but I do have a faith, and find the Bible and prayer very comforting. It all makes me calmer about facing difficulties, with a belief that things turn out ok one way or another Flowers
