My sister and I were talking about how a section is more painful but you seem to get less life long health issues.

So what are your going issues due to having a vaginal birth?

I don't know a single one of my mum friends who had a vaginal birth who isn't still having some ongoing problems from the birth. We're all in our mid to late 20s. The amount of friends who have had to have instrumental deliveries too is shocking. I know very few people who delivered without intervention.

I had my first baby 7 months ago,by forceps..it was very traumatic to say the least. It took me 3 months to fully recover but the past few months I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, I feel like it's my womb. The pain usually starts early in the morning when I'm getting out of bed and then fades away during the day, it's something similar to period cramps because my back also hurts too. I haven't been to the gpyet since they haven't been helpful throughout my recovery.

I had to have reconstructive surgery. It took a year before I got it.

1 V delivery, 2.5 years ago, forceps, pushed for approx 4 hours, was in labour for total of 2 days.

My scar still gets achy after being on my feet too long, wearing tight jeans too much or when my period is due.

Urine leakage was bad at start but is now manageable, really only happens just before my period now when my whole area feels heavier for some reason. Use a panty liner to catch any small leaks.

My back has never been the same. All my labour pain was in my back, and I'm certain something happened when the forceps went in as I got a shooting pain up my tailbone. My back just doesn't feel as supportive, and gets achy easily.
