Thick sanitary towels - do they exist??

They're all slim now. At at gynae appointment I was given a thick one to wear and it was great. So much comfier. It was wrapped so it was a normal one not a special NHS one. For the love of me I cannot find thick ones anywhere.

And don't start me on wings. Work of the devil.

Can you not just buy maternity towels?

They were probably maternity pads

Maternity pads! I haven’t gone back to a normal pad since having DD Blush

You can make your own reusable pads of whichever toggage you desire! My reusable pads are dreamy, and I have made them in several thicknesses, widths and lengths. Lots of tutorials on YouTube. I warmly recommend it!

My maternity pads were MASSIVE and these were not that big. But I'll have a look!

Tesco so nice maternity pads and also a slimmer individual wrapped one. You won't be sorry.

Kotex nighttime pads were what I used after all my births. So much softer and comfier than maternity pads. They're also very cheap pads.

  • I had a cough that went on for months and when it was at its worst, I had real trouble with wetting myself in coughing fits.

So I bought boots incontinence pads, and they were bloody brilliant. To the extent I bought them again for period use.

They were odour absorbing, they could cope with my heavy first day, or overnight, and they stayed put without bloody wings (which always seem to get twisted up and attached to my pubic hair) - they are now my pad of preference, even though I shook the cough and associated wee incidents months ago.

My mum always has really thick Always in, not a lot of English on the packaging so I've always assumed they're foreign imports sold in pound shops/hone bargains and the like.

Tho l ones tend to be the cheap ones and not very comfortable. I now use natracase and they are thin but very good and comfortable (I need industrial strength ones).

I buy Kotex. Even the Super ones in the white pack or loads better than the tiny thin things. I'm perimenopausal and have heavy periods and can't even use Bodyform or Always any more.

You can get Kotex in budget shops like Home Bargains, B&M etc, £1 a pack
