I am on book 4 at the moment and just loving them - I really don't want them to end. Has anyone read them and enjoyed them? If so, what did you read next?

Ooooh, Sandy! I can't wait (though still not convinced of the JM/Xhex pairing - no doubt she will convert me)!

Do I need to read Covet though? Adrian? Eddie? Jim?

covet.....>>

I'm reading Covet at the minutes with Adrian, Eddie & Jim - it's okay not as good as the BDB books but I feel this series will get better.

Okay, so i'm guessing that there is BDB fanfic, the question is, is it any good? Any recs?

Sandy22 · 03/03/2010 19:45

Dream: there are fan fic but I haven't read any yet.

Now then. Will book 4 Lover Revealed satisfy my need to know about Butch and Marissa?

Have been doing lots of searches on Amazon and my wishlist is now 6 pages long! I will do a list later, once I have refined it.

Tomorrow I will have in my hands book 4.

So far my favourite is actually book 2 Lover Eternal, as I love how JR Ward deals with Mary, an ordinary girl, with ordinary looks.

The hook for me with all these books is the protective nature of the Vamps, and also their diamond hard big d**ks

ATinofBiscuits · 03/03/2010 20:35

Did I forget to mention their diamond hard big d**ks

NeonCupcakes · 03/03/2010 20:45

Tin - yup you'll find out all about Butch & Marissa in Book 4. It's a good one! And you should add Nora Roberts Circle Trilogy to your wish list.

Dreams - I've not read any BDB fanfic either (in fact until I was indoctrinated by the Twi-Sluts I hadn't read any fanfic!). I'm not sure about BDB fanfic. Because the series is not finished, I'd like to see how it plays out before seeing other authors take on it, I think.

Sandy22 · 03/03/2010 22:17

Tin: I hear you on the big hard dicks, hmmmmm yeah.

I also love protective males and love to read about them. Interesting that you prefer book 2 to book 3 though.

Covet has got better as I have got through it.

Book 7, the insider guide and covet should be landing on my doorstep tomorrow....I can't wait! I think i'm going to avoid the fanfic for now..... dont want to ruin the brotherhood, i love it too much!

Im off to dream about big hard dicks.....

Sandy22 · 04/03/2010 06:43

Dream: Yeh keep away from the fan fic. I'm going to re-read the brothers after Covet I think, I'm really missing them and their big hard dicks . I loved book 7.

Although I loved book 2, I think it might have been good for Mary to have died rather than be a walking miracle, more realistic IMHO.

It would have interesting to see how the death would have been handled culturally (the rituals etc) and it would have left Rhage free (for me). How would he have expressed his grief? etc How would the author deal with him moving on without her, possibly meeting someone else?

But I guess Tohr at some point in the series will provide some of the answers for those questions.

Can you imagine what sort of story it would be if the Brothers were skint, living a hand to mouth existence (having to work night shifts for very low pay)?

And that their women were overweight, with greasy hair, with grey roots showing through. With past relationship baggage and children without any help from grandparents etc

That is why I love these books a real escape from RL

I had duplicated and now I got the wrong one deleted!

But you get my point, don't you?

I am not describing my life of appearance by the way.

ATinofBiscuits · 04/03/2010 10:52

or appearance

I seem to be unable to type anything right today!

Sandy22 · 04/03/2010 12:46

Tin: lol at the woman overweight with greasy hair - that would make the brothers with huge beer bellies with hairy and spotty backs

ATinofBiscuits · 04/03/2010 14:54

Sandy, and with incredibly small d**ks, and unreliable erections! LOL

dreamworldfullofUNICORNS · 04/03/2010 14:58

Book 7 has landed along with my insider guide. I'm off for a nice long bubble bath with Rehv. BLISS.

Sandy22 · 04/03/2010 18:15

Oh Dream - sounds like a great night ahead for you

NeonCupcakes · 04/03/2010 21:31

Tin- there is a bit more of the 'miracle' stuff and each time I do raise an eyebrow, but still gotta love 'em. One of the good things is that a couple of the shellans are described as more ordinary-looking.

Due to this thread, I am now re-reading them. Onto Book 2 again (within 3 days!). Do you know I never realised the Scribe Virgin had a name!!??

I'd forgotten how much I loved Wrath ... and Rhage ... (and their diamond hard d*cks)

NeonCupcakes · 04/03/2010 21:33

Oooh, oooh. Forgot my exciting news!

I'm going to NY later this year. Now, how do I convince my mum we need to visit Caldwell to knock back some Grey Goose while watching for black Escalades and six-foot+ men in leather?

Sandy22 · 04/03/2010 21:48

Neon: I'm soooo jealous not only are you going to New York where I really want to go but you may also come with a brother - would you mind stashing one in your suitcase for me
