Has Anyone Read the Black Dagger Brotherhood Books by JR Ward?

I am on book 4 at the moment and just loving them - I really don't want them to end. Has anyone read them and enjoyed them? If so, what did you read next?

ahem. how do they compare to say laurell k hamilton? or charlaine harris? or Patricia briggs?

how trashy are they?

need to know before i invest next 3 months in them!

Currently wrapped up in Lover Avenged, catching up before Lover Mine comes out. Amazon normally send them out before the advertised publishing date, the idea is that you get it on that date (usually 2-3days before!)

I have read the first 2 charlaine harris books - thought they were okay but BDB book are far better.

Are the Patricia Briggs books the Mercy Thompson series?
