Just received my pre-ordered copy on Saturday. Anyone else got it and read it (impressed) yet?

Am dying to get started, but worried that life will be put on hold when I do!!

Eccentrica you can buy it on Amazon in paperback, for the same price as the hardback.
I paid £8.99 for the hardback.

Actually the paperback is more expensive than the hardback, which has gone up by 50p since I ordered mine.

I have read this book, I thought it was great. I loved the first two, and this one is just as good (maybe better).

It came out last thursday, so I bought it that evening, and read it in the evenings. I finished it on Saturday night, I ended up staying up late to finish it, but I couldnt wait to find out how it ended .

Waterstone's have it on offer at the mo. - quite cheap for hardback in memory serves me right...... Unfortunately with my little ds who has silent reflux at the mo I am not getting much time to read, but really looking forward to getting stuck in soon :O)

I was a bit at the way book 2 ended. I thought there would be at least another chapter.

Bought it yesterday, about half way through now. 'Tis very good. Story so far is about the aftermath of what happened in book 2.

Have just started the second book - but have quite a few friends who have read all 3 and apparently the 3rd book finishes off the second book?

Wish his partner would release the 4th book for publication...

I don't think it is finished.

His girlfriend has it and there is a big dispute (because of the will) and she is refusing to let it be published (or something like that - can't remember the details )

According to wiki - he also left the synopsis for the 5th and 6th books and had planned 10 in all. (Wiki also says that the manuscript for the 4th is unfinished)

yes, very much so. I half wished I'd read the last chapter of the book before (to refresh my memory!) but it's all come back to me anyway

Brilliant - couldn't put it down. Going to start it again now for a second time as it is so packed full I'm sure I missed bits!

Mine arrived from Amazon today. My Mum is Swedish and I think read it a while ago but hasn't revealed the ending. She's also read the very last Wallandar which was published in Sweden last month. Thing is - I'm supposed to be reading the Sarah Waters one for the MN Book group - so have a lot of reading to look forward to.

The review of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's nest in the The Times described Salander as a grown up and seriously abused version of Pippi Longstocking...
