Just received my pre-ordered copy on Saturday. Anyone else got it and read it (impressed) yet?

Am dying to get started, but worried that life will be put on hold when I do!!

An adult version of her, obviously.

Yes I've heard the Pippi Longstocking thing before.

Just finished A Mercy by Toni Morrison so will start The Girl Who.. tonight.

Just a query though - is it the publishers who decided to call the series The Millennium Trilogy then, as only three books in the series were finished before he died?

Woohoo! Mine just arrived from Amazon. Guess what I'll be doing this evening
I guess they only intend to publish the three books if they've called it the Millennium Trilogy. Maybe they'll get four and five written and do a second trilogy.

Finished!

Although I will have to re-read at some point as I raced through the end. Really enjoyed it although it is highly implausible in places.

I finished it too. I stayed up till am on Saturday night reading the last part, which was extremely good.
I thought it was abit slow going in the middle.

ooh I haven't finished it yet as work getting in the way

I couldn't bear to carry it along with my computer (too blardy heavy all together) but it's got so exciting now, I am carrying the laptop on my back and holding the book so my back doesn't take too much strain arrghh

bring on the end of hard back! They are too heavy for commutes!

foxinsocks · 22/10/2009 07:53

I wonder when the final Wallander will come to the uk

pagwatch · 03/11/2009 17:59

I have just been away for half term and took the first one with me. I then spent ages in Murcia tracking down the 2nd one and have bought the third today.
I have explained to DH that he will just be expected to provide me with wine and remain silent this evening...

BTW Are the Wallander books good then?

PanicMode · 04/11/2009 11:23

Just finished it - implausible in places but I really enjoyed it and am there is no more to come (for the time being anyway!)

Am also glad that I no longer have to lug it around on my commute!
