Time Traveler's wife: Must read or overrated?

What do mners think? I've seen this title come up a lot on the AF threads and I know that the film is coming out soon so is this worth reading at all or over hyped trash?

I'll probably end up reading it anyway out of curiosity.

LOVED the book, nearly wet myself when I saw the film was out, can't wait to see it.

Absolutely loved the book, read it a few years ago. Went to see the film with trepidation - expected to hate it as I didn't expect it to come close to living up to the book, but I amazed myself by really enjoying the it - and crying at the end even though they changed it from the ending of the book. Must be the first time I've enjoyed a film of a book. Although - mumof2teenboys - you're right about the casting of Eric Bana, I thought he was the one weak link - quite wooden.
Am now reading the book again

Started it. Twice. Couldn't finish it. Too....fragmented. I found it annoying.

I haven't even attempted...

Okay, so I got the book out of the library last week and finished it within 3 days.

Whilst it's a real page turner, I don't think that it deserves the acclamation and hype it's received. Just my opinion of course.

Blinder The author does have another book called "The Incestuous sisters". Very different from TTW. It's more like a short graphic novel.

I loved, loved this book. i found i did have to concentrate when reading this as bits of vital info were lost inbetween ramblings IMO of course.

I wont read it again though... for a few years until i cant remember it.

The ending I found very sad and i definitely wont watch the film as HP was ruined for me that way.

I just adored this novel with its minor flaws.
