Anyone who has read this? Is it a comic book?

DH just went to the library to get it,they don't have it but he got me another of her books and he said it's a comic style thingy. Not really my usual kind of book.

Thanks

I really liked Time travellers wife
Not so much that I would read it again soon but I did like it

My main objection was to the use of the C word and the F word. Oh and slightly too graphic mention of "her clit" argh

Definately one to read and like
Or try to read and hate!

As I said on mn the other day I have read The Island by Victoria Hislop and preferred it!

barnsleybelle · 05/08/2009 21:06

Tbh i found it a bit hard to get into at first, it's a bit confusing at times.
However, if you stick with it then it becomes the most beautiful love story you will ever read and the ending left me sobbing.

Am unsure how the film will live up to it as they rarely do in my opinion.

Yurtgirl · 05/08/2009 21:10

I found the film trailer unbearable
Far too cheesy for my taste - and that was just a couple of minutes let alone the whole film!!

HeinzSight · 05/08/2009 21:11

I really enjoyed the book.

MollieO · 05/08/2009 21:17

Tedious tedious tedious. Utterly pointless book and really irritating. High on my list of least favourite books (if you hadn't guessed that already).

beatiebow · 05/08/2009 21:21

I didn't really enjoy it either-very readable but didn't care about the characters at all.

LovelyTinOfSpam · 05/08/2009 21:23

Not my normal style of book at all.

But I was fairly gripped, and cried at the end (a bit ).

Is a fairly good read, interestig premise, but I probably wouldn't read it again.

racmac · 07/08/2009 18:12

Tried to read this couple of times but just doesnt do it for me.

All my friends keep raving and tell me to read it but its just not happening

CDMforever · 07/08/2009 22:55

I LOVED this book! Read it on honeymoon a couple of years ago, so it has special associations for me. Thought it was unusual, warm, funny and brilliantly written. Can't wait to see the film. That said, my Dad hated it!

wrinklytum · 07/08/2009 23:00

I'm afraid I couldn't getto grips with this book at all.I found that I did not warm to the characters and found the constant flipping back and forth really irritating.I gave up after about 100 pages. This is unusual as I usually do read on to the end, even the pile of crap that was Da Vinci Code 9Why I don't know). This just left me cold, and bored.

Lulubee · 07/08/2009 23:02

Funny, I was just about to say that the first 100 pages were really hard to stick at, but after that it got brilliant and I couldn't put it down! Try it again Wrinklytum (love the name btw)

Thequeensfool · 07/08/2009 23:27

I did enjoy the book but I think it had been built up too much in my mind. Also I did have a bit of trouble warming to them characters enough to really care I think.

Thequeensfool · 07/08/2009 23:28

the characters! Not them

elsiepiddock · 09/08/2009 12:55

I loved this book so much! I cried buckets.

Have just been in the states where the trailer for the film was on TV - even that made me weep!

squilly · 09/08/2009 13:04

I've heard a lot of criticism for it on the boards here, but have to say, I loved it. I'm just off to check the film thread now. Enjoy!

aGalChangedHerName · 09/08/2009 21:10

Well.... read the book on my hols last week. I bloody loved it,couldn't put it down!!!

Had to read the last bit alone in my room as i had a wobbly lip and my eyes were brimming with tears

It was awfully sad and well worth reading.

I will try the book you recommend bruffin also.

What are her other books like? (audreys)
