One of my Yr 11 students keeps nagging me to read a book called "The Shack"

I teach him RE and he says I will find it fascinating.

What is it about? Is it any good?

iread it and htoguht it was the worse kind of dross ever published , i am a born again athiest and hoped it might prompt me to re-examine the loss of my faith but no it just re inforced why i became an athiest.

I have it and just cant read it.

I have not got past the firs few pages though.

Oh dear lord, I hate this book so much. All my evangelical Christian friends have said it's a life-changing book, but I just thought it was a preachy take on misery porn stuff. Horrid.

Twinset, what are you going to tell your student who recommended you read it?

I dont know , he was off on study leave and returned last week and does not seem to have mentioned it , so I wont.

I did have it on my Miss twinset is reading notice board.

I have invited him to my phiosophers picnic though and I know he is going to ask me about it. I may try again this weekend.
