If you're a fairly quick reader and you would like a review copy of my novel, Playing with the Moon, short-listed for the World Book Day 'Book to talk about 2008', I have some review copies to post out.

I only ask: that you read it and pass it on to at least one other person before the end of the month; and:

that you leave a comment on the site below, again before the end of this month, and, if you enjoyed the book, think about voting for me on the same site. Obviously if you don't enjoy it please don't vote for me (though the comments would be useful) but pass the book on anyway. I'm trying to get new readers (and votes if possible) before voting stops at the beginning of March.

I'm not on CAT but anyone interested can email me on grheliz AT gmail.com

Here's the link I mentioned above, which has more information about my novel and why it's been shortlisted for the award:

RipMacWinkle

You've made my day!!!

Off to read and munch with a coffee before collecting DS

Wisteria · 27/02/2008 13:01

Am going to read it tonight and tomorrow if life should be so rude as to interrupt me

RipMacWinkle · 27/02/2008 17:04

Sorry it was so late. Hope you enjoy the book and I always need a cheeky wee dairy milk when I read....

Enjoy m'dear!

Whizzz · 27/02/2008 17:11

VictorianSqualor nothing has turned up as yet

SlugsNSnails · 27/02/2008 21:37

Choc was gone in 2 seconds!

bookwormmum · 27/02/2008 21:48

I've listed it on my Facebook page as well.... every little helps when it comes to a public vote.

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 28/02/2008 08:08

If there's time, and anyone's got a copy they've finished with, I'd love to read it and comment on the site. You can CAT me or e-mail me at sophieandpoppy at yahoo dot co dot uk

Eliza2 · 28/02/2008 13:30

Sadly it's all over tomorrow at noon, CocoDeBearis, so there'd be no time for a book to get to you!

If you wanted to look, an extract of the book is available here www.panmacmillan.com/Extracts/displayPage.asp?PageTitle=An%20extract%20from%20Playing%20with%20the%2 0Moon

Everyone who votes on the World Book Day site below is automatically entered in a draw for £100 worth of book vouchers and five free books.

Bookwormmum--THANK YOU for Facebooking!

thanks Eliza. I've had your book on my Wish List at Amazon for a while, it sounds really intriguing. I should have treated myself earlier on, hey! Anyway, good luck .

michaelad · 28/02/2008 19:55

Eliza, I've finished your book and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately it took me alot longer than anticipated because of some family problems (mum had to go into hospital with severe bronchitis ) and somehow the link won't let me vote now. It's forever saying that the username and login is wrong!!

Eliza2 · 28/02/2008 20:30

So sorry to hear about your mother!

OP posts:
Bridie3 · 29/02/2008 10:20

Bump.

Because it would be a shame to miss out on those vouchers!

Eliza2 · 06/03/2008 18:47

Thanks, everyone! Well, it wasn't me that made number one slot.

I think a few of my voters missed the deadline by just minutes, which is a little disappointing but just one of those things.

It's been a fun ride, anyway.

OP posts:
RipMacWinkle · 07/03/2008 07:48

That's a shame Eliza. Sorry you didn't make number 1.

However.... on the plus side, you now have a whole raft of new readers looking for the next Eliza Graham novel (Restitution later this year, isn't it?). So it's not all bad

Eliza2 · 07/03/2008 07:55

Absolutely, RipMacWinkle: I look on it as an investment in my future career!

I've had radio interviews, newspaper coverage, booksignings, school talks, which all helps enormously, too.

RipMacWinkle · 07/03/2008 07:57

Let us know if you're ever up North of the Border

Eliza2 · 07/03/2008 14:58

I'm up in Nairn/Inverness at some point this Easter, Rip. Remind me where you are?

OP posts:
RipMacWinkle · 08/03/2008 14:08

I'm near Glasgow so Nairn is a bit of a trek! Maybe next time?

Eliza2 · 08/03/2008 17:33

Definitely, Rip!

Fab book! I know voting etc is all done, but as Eliza sent me a free copy I was wondering if anyone would like my copy posting?

Email me angewaldron at yahoo.co.uk, first to do so gets it!

Eliza2 · 10/03/2008 09:02

Thanks, madamy. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The book's one of Borders' March Book Club choices, which has pleased me greatly.

OP posts:
peanutbear · 10/03/2008 09:07
