Embarrassed how excited I am. So in love with the flawed Nelson too. But maybe my favourite part is the landscape.

What are you all going to read next? I'm reading a few samples on Kindle.

Might go for Stephen Fry's autobiog (part 2), which is partly work but will be a good read, or Tao Twan Eng/something similarly different. Then Exiles by Jane Harper.

If you've not read Five Decembers by James Kestrel DO.

It’s been brilliant. I know Norfolk and was there last week on holiday so found it very exciting. In fact we were staying next to a ghost field!

I read all the Vera’s and Shetlands last year so this is hitting the spot.

@scarecrow22 not read it yet.

I have read the latest and enjoyed it.

I know what you mean. But I was struck by the fact that Nelson seemed not that bothered that Michelle took George north for months and months without him, and was in fact a bit stressed by George when he came back.... I don't know. I guess we'll see when Ruth eventually returns (surely she must, in a few years, reunion novel;)).

Try Andy Griffee - relatively new author with Canal Pushers, River Rats and Oxford Blues.

Just finished it. Quite happy with the ending for the main characters. But the murderer and motive were a bit disappointing and unlikely. Will miss these books though.

Finished it last week - not too long a wait on the library list. I think he might think wistfully of shepherds pie, but perhaps Georgie will bring one round when he comes to stay. I wish Michelle very well in her new/old venture.

I could drive to old Hunstanton this week and see if I can spot the house.😀
