50 Books Challenge 2022 Part Seven

Welcome to the seventh and (and probably) final thread of the 50 Books Challenge for this year.

The challenge is to read fifty books (or more!) in 2022, though reading fifty isn't mandatory. Any type of book can count, and even though it's late in the year, it’s not too late to join. Please try to let us all know your thoughts on what you've read.

I was part of a Secret Santa that has online wishlists. Brilliant I thought and put two very specific books on it plus a token nice soap. My own fault... guess which I got..

I gave a single author to my son with no alternative options. Better outcome.

This is my haul plus an Amazon voucher which you better believe is getting spend on books!

Thanks @MamaNewtNewt and @Piggywaspushed DH surprised me by bringing two book-shaped parcels to my bedside so all is well. One is a really interesting book about Hollywood in the 1940s as he knows I’m a big fan.

Just one book here too, from my DF. I did get excellent hand made Shetland wool leg warmers from my dd though so on balance happy to buy my own books 🙂

I got one from my dh; Les Années by Annie Ernaux. I was planning to read this, so that was a good guess on his part. He has told me helpfully, that there is a translation on Kindle :)

I received this so happy about that as her other book The Lighthouse Witches was my only stand out 5 star read this year so really wanted a copy of her new release
