Time slip novels

I absolutely love reading time slip novels. I've read all of Nicola Cornick's series and I've just finished the second instalment in Kelley Armstrong's Stitch in time series. Can anyone please recommend any more novels in the same genre? I've googled it and searched everywhere but there seems to be very few authors writing this type of novel.

Yet another vote for the Chronicles of St Mary’s, I got into them after a recommendation on here a couple of years ago - have now read all of them and every short story too.

enough historical detail to be fascinating and a good twisty/modern plot with plenty of humour.

You all simply HAVE to read Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllistair. Truly one of the best books I have ever read.

Also The House On The Strand by Daphne du Maurier

Jason aryes. The time bubble series . Think there's about 13 books in the series

@JaninaDuszejko great list! I loved Playing Beatie Bow. Reread it recently and it was still amazing.

Hexwood by Diane Wynne Jones. So confusing and brilliant. This is one of a handful of books I can read and reread and never get tired of it.

The Green Knowe books by LM Boston are magical and have a lot of back and forthing time wise. An enemy at green knowe is my favourite but they are all great

@Figrolls14 this has just prompted me to watch the 1980's tv series - bloody loved it as a child. So magical!

I love time slip books and tv Programmes!

I was meant to read them as a child but was so bored, perhaps they were too difficult for an 9 year old

@Movinghouseatlast

Yes thanks for the recommendation of Gillian McAllister, thoroughly enjoyed it, absolutely gripping

And Susan Price for The Sterkarm Handshake and The Sterkarm Kiss. These are astounding

Oh, I loved The Sterkarm Handshake, though it’s so not my usual hing that I can’t even remember how I came to read it. I thought the sequel was weaker, bough.

Thirding Connie Willis's Oxford time travel series
Doomsday Book - the plague, harrowing
To Say Nothing of the Dog - light and very funny
Blackout/All Clear - WWII, multi stranded and fascinating
and a short story, Fire Watch, also WWII, and haunting.

America12 · 16/03/2023 10:39

Beyond the Moon - Catherine Taylor - bit cheesy.
Also the Kate Mosse Languedoc trilogy.

GracePooleslaugh · 23/03/2023 09:06

I would honestly give Lady of Hay a miss, it has not aged well at all.

The House on the Strand by Daphne Du Maurier was excellent.

lifeturnsonadime · 23/03/2023 09:11

11.22.63 , Stephen King, has been mentioned a couple of times.

It is one of the best books I've ever read.

Time and Time Again by Ben Elton
