What else will I like? I’ve struggled with many books recently, manage a few chapters then leave them for weeks unread, but the Richard Osman books I can read without wanting to put them down.
I even struggled a bit with the latest Strike saga tbh, despite waiting impatiently for it arrive!

Can anyone recommend something as easy readable as Osman please?
TIA.

Agatha Raisin

I know it must be me but I don't like these books at all. Read one and genuinely couldn't understand the popularity.

One I think you might enjoy OP is Sweet Sweet Revenge Ltd.

@12roundsofwhitelowfatspread I’m 3/4 of the way through the first feathering book and enjoying it a lot so thanks for the recommendation, I also have the second one lined up to read. I didn’t look at date of publish but had a little laugh to myself when it mentioned a VHS recorder! If that wasn’t in there it could have been written pretty recently.

I am still adding all your other suggestions to my list, they should keep me going for quite some time!

Have you read any Agatha Christie? Miss Marple is the queen of cosy crime!

Elly Griffiths - the Ruth Galloway ones are great but I prefer the Stranger Diaries and the series with Harbinder Kaur (I can’t remember which is first) - there are only three in the series and I found them a very similar vibe to The Thursday Murder Club ones.

I can highly recommend the series Her Majesty the Queen Investigates by SJ Bennett, I don't think I saw these mentioned already.

Just started an Anthony Horriwiz (scuse spelling) now so glad I made a good choice.

@MyFirstMyLastMyEverythingBagel after reading the excellent Exit you recommended I picked another of BB’s books to read. They are NOT similar at all. Have you read Blacklands? It was gripping but not the light read of Exit (or TTMC books).
I’m not sure I will read any of her others tbh. I’m still a bit disturbed.

Elly Griffiths the Brighton mystery club follows a band of magicians who served together in wwII and are now, present day, tracking a killer who's doing deadly tricks. Mystery, rich characters, humor, touch of romance, and of course, magic!

Ooh thanks @singley62 I see there are 6 books, they should keep me going for a while!
