Er, I am rubbish at organising, tis a miracle we got the circle going at all with me in charge so if anyone feels all bustly and organised and wishes to start threads to discuss books, be my guest

OP posts:
McDreamylove · 18/02/2008 18:14

how about we all open a thread on our own book (the one we originally sent) on the book swap thread and then no-one has the task of doing everything?

You've done loads so far FMF - well done and thank you

WigWamBam · 18/02/2008 18:22

Oh goodness, I didn't mean for you to do them all, FMV! I thought maybe we could each start a thread about the book we received first, that way the person wanting to discuss doesn't have to wait for the person who posted the book to start the thread. If that makes sense!

I just didn't want to start a thread and then get shouted at because a format had been agreed somewhere and I'd blinked and missed it.

filthymindedvixen · 18/02/2008 18:26

YY, good plan!
We need to make sure we can spot 'our' titles as there are several.
eg:
FMF's Original BOOK SWAP: The Babysittter by Justin Casey Howls

OP posts:
McDreamylove · 18/02/2008 18:37

Think we should start them just like you've said FMV but which book are we going to do? Our own books ie. the first one we sent or the first one we received? (or 2 in my case!! )

Lulumama · 19/02/2008 14:34

I have not finished the first one, i have had to borrow it off a friend ! am finding it really hard going i had tried reading it once before, and never got to the end of it then.....

will i be expelled from book club now?

Happy Birthday Mae - hope you're having a lovely day

Lulumama · 20/02/2008 12:23

happy birthday mae! and belated birthday wishes to Mcdreamy

started my book yesterday

it is fantabulous! i have cried and laughed and cried.. wonderful!

PanicPants · 20/02/2008 15:06

I'm up for starting a thread of the book that I originally sent out.

Has anyone else done this yet?

I'm loving The Divide, that I'm reading now. Can't put it down! Except to come on here of course!

RubySlippers · 20/02/2008 15:08

i keep meaning too - i really must

The Divide is a corker isn't it!

MaeWest · 20/02/2008 15:13

I'm off to set up a thread for the book I sent...

Having a lovely birthday thanks, plus have baby sitter on Saturday so we are going out (a rare occurence Chez MaeWest...)

PanicPants · 20/02/2008 15:14

It is rs! Didn't think I'd like it from the blurb on the back, but was hooked from page one. I'm going to start a thread now - but can't remember the name of the author of my original book !
So will just call it FMF's Original BOOK SWAP: Hurting Distance.

MaeWest · 20/02/2008 15:16

Damm, thread title now makes me look like massive egotist who thinks her book is the 'Original & Best'

RubySlippers · 20/02/2008 15:17

sophie hannah wrote hurting distance

i finished it in less than a week - was very good

PanicPants · 20/02/2008 15:19

Bu**er - too late rubyslippers!!!!!!

RubySlippers · 20/02/2008 15:20

never mind!

i have started my thread too ...

PanicPants · 20/02/2008 15:21

Happy Birthday Mae!

anchovies · 25/02/2008 15:21

OMG I have finally found what's going on with the book swap thing! Have looked for a thread loads of times and have never managed to find one! Thanks for the books Pruners, loved your one, right up my street, found it hard going at first to be honest but loved it once I'd got into it! Had read the next one (but it was a good one!) Glad the ones I sent arrived safely too!

anchovies · 25/02/2008 15:23

Oh and by the way I would like to apologise for my book, I read very quickly and pass on everything I've read so didn't have much to choose from. At least it's an easy read!

PanicPants · 02/03/2008 18:36

I received my book yesterday Rubyslippers - thank you.

However, it was the same book that I sent at the start of the swop (well, not the same PHYSICAL book, but an identical one iyswim! - Hurting Distance)

So I'll pass it straight onto Andyrobo along with The Divide which I've finished. I'll put them both in the post tomorrow!

fryalot · 02/03/2008 18:41

Yours might be the original and the best, but you wouldn't let me join, so I had to join another, unoriginal one. So there.

Lulumama · 02/03/2008 18:41

is it time to sned the books on?

PanicPants · 02/03/2008 19:23

Don't know but I tend to use the envelope that my new book arrives in so when it arrives I pop my book in it and send it on!

[sends squonk on her way with a flea in her ear]
