OP posts:
fullmoonfiend · 20/01/2008 18:37

wombling, i started it yesterday and cannot put it down; love it!

fullmoonfiend · 20/01/2008 18:38

McDreamy, have no idea how long it would take a book to arrive to you but it was posted over a week ago.. Actually, there's 2 books (neither very big) as i couldn't decide (as usual). So I sent an old favourite and a newish discovery

PanicPants · 20/01/2008 20:31

I'm loving mine from Rubyslippers, I'm about half way through now. Anyone know what the next posting date is?

McDreamy · 20/01/2008 20:34

It'll get here........eventually! The postal system here is funny, one day you can receive goods you ordered just a few days ago and then the next time you order it can take weeks. I have a good feeing about tomorrow!!!

andyrobo237 · 20/01/2008 20:34

Panicpants - about to start your book today - when I shift myself off this pc!

Yes, an idea of next posting date would be good - I have been really organised and addressed the envelope already!!

MaeWest · 20/01/2008 20:37

Finished mine yesterday [smug] - enjoyed it (thanks lulumama)

lulumama · 20/01/2008 20:39

welcome ! have started mine...thanks WWB! it is in the car to read when i wait for DS at school time, my best friend said it is her favourite book ever !

fullmoonfiend · 21/01/2008 09:01

ok, bearing in mind Mcdreamy is still waiting (abroad) any ideas for next posting date??

McDreamy · 21/01/2008 18:02

still no book! Shouldn't be too much longer we are supposed to have a better postal service than normal mail going abroad!

I am a quick reader though

WigWamBam · 21/01/2008 18:05

I'd say it was my favourite book ever too, lulumama, if I had to make a choice.

I feel riduculously panicky that no-one will like it and you will all slag it off and think I have no literary taste!

wombling · 21/01/2008 22:04

FMF,

So glad you're enjoying it, I loved it, in fact I think I devoured it in one sitting!

McDreamy · 22/01/2008 11:42

I am sat here waiting for DH to come home........with my book i hope. Keep your fingers crossed for me

fullmoonfiend · 22/01/2008 16:24

I'm so sorry McDreamy, perhaps they thought the parcel was something dodgy - depsite the fact it had Books written all over the outside and my name and address etc.

Good job I removed the hash brownies at the last minute though, eh??

McDreamy · 22/01/2008 16:27

didn't arrive!! We did get a large parcel of xmas presents though!!

lol about the hash! It'll turn up and I will just have to lock myself away and read it very fast. Really sorry to hold the group up, I didn't anticipate this problem

wombling · 22/01/2008 21:47

For next posting date, what about first week of Feb?

spamm · 22/01/2008 22:47

Could we do 2nd week in Feb - sorry, but am away visiting parents in US in first week with ds and only back 2nd week - could not get to PO before 11/12 Feb

Sorry - is Spanielsmom here, am still wearing slimmed down name, as I am enjoying it. Should I adopt it for good?

Lulumama · 23/01/2008 18:41

first or second week good for me, will go with the majority !

am loving the book WWB!

PanicPants · 24/01/2008 15:15

1st or 2nd week good for me too. I've just finished mine. I loved it and got totally drawn in. Sobbed like a baby near the end though .

Are we going to do little book reviews or just make comments as we go along?

emiliosmum · 24/01/2008 21:12

2nd week would be better for me but will do the first if that's the majority x

andyrobo237 · 25/01/2008 20:10

Either week wil do me as well - half way through the book and really enjoying it!

andyrobo237 · 25/01/2008 20:10

PanicPants · 27/01/2008 21:00

Rubyslippers - I loved it too - but when she 'walked away' (don't want to give too much away for future readers )I couldn't believe it, and just sobbed, especailly as it was the right thing to do.

RubySlippers · 27/01/2008 21:07

ah yes - it is a real gut wrencher ...

i admit to a tear or two at that as well

McDreamy · 29/01/2008 07:14

Still no book I think I am going to have to retire from this book swap circle if this is going to happen everytime. i don't want to hold everyone up . I'm moving home in the summer so maybe I can join again next time around. Really sorry everyone
