How many hours a day do you read?

I have decided to try and read for an hour a day, even it means doing it early morning or late at night.

I have a stack of books at about 300pp, so it should mean that I'm reading 1 or even 2 a week, depending on the book and my TBR pile will start to reduce. There are over 50 on there.

How many hours a day/week do others read and are you religious about it?

I don't set time to read. I'm just reading all the time. I read when I'm riding on the bus. I read while I'm waiting for a doctor appointment. And, of course, I read at night.

I have no idea overall how much I read, but if you include magazines and newspapers, it must be at least 10 hours a week, likely much more.

None I read quite frequently until I was around 15, but haven't done in the last 7 years. I am looking to start reading again in free time in replacement of the tv, could anyone recommend anything or where to read i.e. audible, book, etc..

I do audiobooks too, so I can "read" while walking dog, cleaning up, or sewing. Probably two or three hours.

Audible is particularly good now as they have loads of free classics to download. Jane Austen, Thomas Hardy, the Brontes, Elizabeth Gaskell, etc.

I read all the time, I always have a book on the go. I can easily read 4/5 books a week. I read physical books, Kindle and use the library app on my tablet. I can't get on with audible books, but I know a lot of people do.

I would get a kindle (space saving as no piles of books everywhere) and you can pick up some really good books for under a quid. I also have the Kindle unlimited package (£8 a month) but easily read 4-5 books from this so works out as a bargain for me

At least an hour in bed before sleep, often longer. Now that I no longer have toddlers or small children to supervise, I’ll also take one to read while waiting outside swimming lessons etc. I must always have something on the go, I get unsettled if I don’t know what I’m going to read next.
