Just wondering what everyone has read in the last few months and if you enjoyed.

I read The Chain by Adrian McKinity. The first chapter I wasn't sure I'd get into it, but I read it within days and really enjoyed.

Another good one for me was Those People by Louise Candlish and just didn't see the end coming, so have just started The Other Passenger by OP.

Some of Lisa Jewell’s books are really good. Have listened as audiobooks though.

I was going to say The Other Passenger, but beaten to it, so place marking for recommendations.

As pps have said, I'm finding a lot of thrillers now are the same old thing - I can predict the ending after a couple of chapters. So many psychopathic husbands or, what a surprise, the narrator is unreliable and she's actually her best friend who was murdered ...

Desperate for something a bit different.

The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz was really good. She also wrote The Undoing.

I recently enjoyed Watch Her Fall by Erin Kelly. This is my review from the 50 Bookers thread:

Difficult to review this one without spoilers, but as it's based around a production of Swan Lake it is no surprise to learn that the plot centres around dual identities.

Ava Kirilova, the daughter of ballet master Nicky Kirilov, is all set to star in a production of Swan Lake that will be the pinnacle of both their careers, when she is injured in a fall. Meanwhile another dancer from the same company, Juliet, recovers from injury in Ava's house in a gated complex. She falls in with Max, a Ukrainian security guard, and together they plot to break into Ava Kirilova's safe. The action diverts briefly to the Ukraine and we learn that Max is not who he seems, but the significance of this isn't immediately apparent.

This took me a while to get into, but in retrospect that's because the first two-thirds of the book are taken up by the set-up of two or three parallel storylines. Once the strands come together it moves very quickly and overall I would recommend it.

I love KL Slater’s books, I read The Evidence in an afternoon last week. Also love most of the suggestions on here.
Currently reading The Cottage by Lisa Stone but not sure about it yet.
