Have you seen the tumblr fan page. It's really good! They are doing Strike advent calendar reveal and 2021 calendars you can download. They have location pics with text from the books so you can see the places written about. EO, you have strong competition for your own website. Actually, if anyone is on tumblr can they point the The Tottenham fan page to EO's podcast please?

Robin hasn't quite awakened to the fact that she finds Strike attractive. She does, but she doesn't know what to call it.

But I kind of like that they're not crowbarred into a romantic plot - that they work together as two equal human beings. And really good friends.

I heard JKR on Graham Norton's radio prog saying she'd finished the next STrike. CAn't wait!

I hope not. I'm expecting her to be a lesbian, I don't know why.

I'm looking forward to Michelle as a catalyst to shift the dynamic up a bit. I want as many books as possible, bottom line, and the trajectory right now could be quite quick to resolve the Strike/Robin issues, possibly even in the next book. As others have said, I worry what that might mean. However, if JKR does do a classic 7 book thing, that would give 1 book to explore them together as both best friends and lovers, which I do think I'd like to see something of. I'm not keen on the get-together-on-the-last-page and they lived happily ever after thing, and I don't think think that's the way it's going anyway.

But if she is going to string it out a bit longer, as I suspect she might, Michelle is one way to do that, though we've yet to have too many clues as to how that might work. I think my left field idea would be Robin and her hitting it off, and her becoming a bit of an older female role model/mentor for Robin. Maybe that could unsettle Strike somehow, and induce some more of the talking thing....

I would totally make a special perfume-sniffing trip if it weren't for the aforementioned coughing issue! Maybe I can drag DH along, give him a list & he can go get tester strips that's a thing, right?! for me while I stand far, far away! I could send him equipped with sellotape so he could attach the strips to the list so there was no confusion.

I've never worn perfume in my life & spend the vast majority of my time in the house surrounded by children. I can't think where I'd go that would seem fancy enough to require perfume... Yet I'm actually considering asking DH to buy me some for Christmas because Strike got Robin some. I'll not tell him that bit...!

I haven't ever really worn perfume (tho I did like a bit of CKOne back in the day), but I'm quite excited about trying these

Thanks for this! I've ordered those two & also one called L'Absolu, also by Narciso Rodriguez.

If I could afford the initial outlay I'd order large bottles of all the perfumes mentioned in TB & divide it into sample bottles to sell as a scent selection for Strike fans!

Who knew you could get samples? I certainly didn't, not having bought or wearing perfume for about 15 or more years. Thanks. Am off to buy. So excited!

(Perfume and general rant. Sorry. I got some from Argos because 50ml was £58 not £71. I’ve had a truly horrible week shopping experience wise, so much stuff screwed up, promised cal backs and resolutions all that sort of crap. I wanted to use a love2shop voucher for the perfume and even that just turned into a total incomprehensible shit show. )
So. I thought fuck it and bought myself the perfume. I just wanted a little treat for me. I’d like to think Strike would approve of my fuck it attitude. After all I no longer drink or smoke sooooo...

Sorry. Back to reading lots of people smarter than me talking about a book series I love.
