DS is coming up for 3 and my Mum has said she will get him some books for his birthday. I will order them from Amazon as we live in Spain.
What book have you most enjoyed and would suggest I put on his wish list?

Owp! We like that too pinkteddy, though slightly dodgy with stupid mummy and sophie having to wait for daddy to come home and figure out what to do. And the tiger is well iffy imo.

Percy the Park-keeper is great, in fact most Nick Butterworth stuff is great - Q Pootle, Albert le Blanc too.

There's a great book about an Ark with all sorts of weird animals on it - can't remember the name but really lovely - I'm sure someone will know what I'm talking about

There's a great book called Nothing But Trouble by Gus Clarke. It was first published in 1997, so it's possible you may have to go for a second-hand buy, but it's great. My ds loves it.

Oh, and definitely agree with The Kiss That Missed on the previous list.

My DD 3.5 loves all the above - has had them quite a while so they may be for younger children, but she still loves them...

Will write some more when I look at the books upstairs (DH reads to her in bed and I have to admit I have no idea what books are up there, as we have been given loads from friends and family)...

Hairy Maclary, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, the Miffy books, and Maisy books. We just got one called 'I'm a Happy Hugglewug' which is cite and popullar with DD2
DD2 loves the Mr Men books but I hate reading them!

Harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs .. and all the other books in the series are a huge hit with my 2.4 year old at the moment! He loves all the Hairy Maclary books and anything by the Gruffalo author!
