Hope there aren't now about 10 of these cos we've all opened at the same time.

Everytime I see the pictures of Luna I keep thinking she looks like a female version of Malfoy!

when I first saw and heard Luna speak I thought NO but she has really grown on me and I saw a clip where she is talking to Harry and I thought YES they've got that one right imo.

Haven't heard her speak yet. I will reserve judgement.

she has a lovely soft and calm voice, very gentle, very "away with the fairies" type of voice

Yet again, I thought Luna was too pretty when I first saw her, but I think she'll be good.

What I love about the books is the way you take the journey with Harry. I found myself laughing at Luna along with all the characters, until the end when Harry finds her looking for her stolen stuff .

Goodness - I pop off for a couple of week's holiday and you lot go and half fill a second thread!!

Agree that Matt Lucas would be perfect for Slughorn. Mustn't get hopes up tho coz if they cast someone else I'd be really cross

Matt lucas was only brilliant as toad. I think he is a great character actor and would be fab for slughorn.

Have just watched POA last night, and watched Gambon carefully. The parts where he does the voice softer and lets his eyes twinkle a bit, he was actually quite Dumbledorey, it's only when he runs and shouts that I can't stand to watch him.
The bit with the timeturner at the end was good with him, and Buckbeaks trial at Hagrid's hut.
He got worse in GOF I think, but I am reserving judgement for OOTP and hoping that the clip of him shouting in court was not the norm.

BOM -Totally agree. I was convinced by his Dumbledore in POA but in GOF he wasn't Dumbledorey enough for me.

Hope he does better in OOTP tho he isn't actually in it much, but he has to be good in HBP, cos he;s in it a lot and it's his final one>

I suppose if he isn't a convincing dumbledore it might be less painfull to watch him die.

LOL, actually I had thought tht too, but that would ruin the poignancy of the moment.
